Felix thought he was a master at handling hard situations, but nothing could have prepared him for the most awkward ride home he had ever experienced. Everything was silent other than the sound of the car humming or his and Chan's breathing. Felix swore he could see the tension floating around in the car between them.
He knew that the older was probably still upset about what happened earlier and he didn't know what to tell the other. But he didn't think he could handle the silence for much longer.
He finally cracked when the heard the dimpled male beside him take a significantly deeper breath than the rest of his other ones.
"Chan, I'm so sorry! I know I shouldn't have left the box. It was completely stupid and I broke my promise. It's just Minho got into my head and I wasn't thinking. But I'm really really sorry!" Felix rambled, his nerves controlling his brain in the moment.
"Felix, it's fine. I didn't want you to leave the box cause I wasn't sure if you'd get hurt or not. I wish you would have listened to me, but you didn't do anything particularly bad, just broke my trust a little. What did Minho even say to you anyway?"
That made Felix sigh, feeling like he was getting scolded by a parent for taking a cookie out of a cookie jar.
"He was just implying that I couldn't handle myself and that I was weak. Something about him just gets to me, I don't know what it is but it's stupid." Felix said, looking out the car window, watching the scenery pass since it was easier than seeing Chan's disappointed face.
"I get it, Minho isn't the most friendly person. I'm sorry he was bugging you though" Chan said with a small sigh, making Felix feel bad seeing the older look so sorry for him.
"It's not your fault so don't apologize. But still, I shouldn't have gone against your word. Can you forgive me?" Felix asked, his tone slightly hopeful as he looked over at the other.
"It's fine, don't stress about it. But if you come to another match, please listen to my rules" Chan said with a small smile, clearly not holding against the younger which made Felix feel so much lighter.
"What did you think of the match anyway?" The older asked curiously, knowing the other wasn't to thrilled about the idea in the first place.
Felix softly shrugged, not all to certain how he felt about his whole experience tonight. On one hand, he was still pissed off about Minho and he didn't exactly like watching the match but on the other hand, he had never experienced something like that before and it was almost thrilling.
"It was definitely something" Felix simply answered, not knowing how else to say how he was feeling. That made Chan softly laugh though, finding the answer amusing.
"Well it's better than nothing" Chan said before he pulled into the parking lot of Felix's apartment complex, parking the car and looking at the younger.
"Thanks for the ride and everything else tonight" Felix said with a small grateful smile, making the other male smile back.
"Don't mention it, it was fun seeing you. We should do something outside of work again, I'd like to get to know you as a friend. If you're comfortable with that," Chan said, making Felix's smile grow, loving the idea.
The other seemed like a fun and sweet person and hanging out again sounded like something Felix would actually enjoy for once.
"That would be fun. Text me whenever you want to do something. I'll see you at work sometime this week," Felix said with a smile before getting out of the car.
He walked into his complex and walked to his apartment, unlocking the door and pushing it open, closing it behind him as he kicked off his shoes. He walked further into his place, heading to his room to get ready for bed since it was late.
As he changed into his pajamas and laid in bed, he couldn't help but think back to everything that happened to night. Surprisingly, he didn't regret going as much as he thought he would. Sure, he almost got led somewhere with a stranger and Minho was difficult, but he kinda enjoyed it.
And on that thought, his thoughts drifted to the older orange haired male. Felix would be lying to himself if he said the other didn't look good tonight in his black tank top and shorts. His hand subconsciously rested on his arm where Minho had grabbed him earlier, thinking back to the feeling of the older's fingers wrapped around his skin, a small fluttering feeling coursing through his chest.
But as soon as he realized what he was doing, he instantly dropped his hand back down on the bed. Minho was a stuck up person who clearly loved pissing Felix off. The younger shouldn't be thinking about him like that and he didn't need someone like that in his life.
So he turned off his lights, closing his eyes to try and go to bed but all that came into his mind was Minho and the rest of the events of tonight. Felix started getting frustrated when he couldn't turn his brain off, wanting to sleep and nothing more.
And like that, the younger stayed up the entire night, the only thing flashing through his mind was Minho's hands on him and the small infuriating words he had whispered so almost tantalizing to him.
