Felix and Chan didn't talk for the rest of the day, both seemingly to caught up in their own thoughts. Closing time eventually rolled around and Felix once again ushered all the remaining customers out of the building before turning the sign to closed.
He walked back into the kitchen to start cleaning things up before seeing Chan sitting on a stool, looking deep in his thoughts.
"What are you still doing here Chan? You don't have to close with me, you can go home," Felix says, a little surprised that the other hadn't gone home yet since he wasn't on closing duty.
Chan instantly looked over to Felix before softly laughing. "Hey, sorry, I just wanted to talk to you but didn't have the chance to all day," Chan said making Felix raise his eyebrows.
"What's up?" He asked before starting to clean up the mess on the counters. He heard Chan shift in his spot, the stool creaking cause of its old age.
"I just wanted to apologize for my friend Minho earlier. He was being rude and you didn't deserve it," Chan said making Felix stop and look at him.
"You don't have to apologize cause you did nothing wrong. I will admit, your friends an asshole, and he should be the one apologizing," Felix states making Chan frown slightly.
"That's the thing, your not gonna get an apology. Minho doesn't do sorry's and he definitely won't do it to you," Chan said making Felix glance at him.
"He sounds like so much fun," Felix sarcastically says, still a bit sour about this morning.
"Yeah, he can be a bit much, but I've known him for years so I still love him," Chan honestly let's out, making Felix softly smile.
"Can I ask you something?" Felix asks hesitantly, making Chan perk up on his stool and nod his head.
"I don't want to intrude or anything, but I still can't help but notice your hands seem even worse tonight than they did yesterday. Are you okay?" Felix asked, concerned for his coworkers safety.
Felix watched as Chan looked down at his hands before saying, "It's nothing big, I just box a little so they get a little battered up, that's all,"
That made Felix stop all his movements before turning around to face the other male. Felix leaned against the counter while crossing his arms, staring at his coworker.
"You box? Where?" He asked, curious to know now.
"Just at a place right outside of town. I am a manager for someone so we practice, and my hands don't take it very well," Chan said, being very vague about everything, only making Felix even more curious.
"What's the name? Maybe I'll know it," Felix asked making Chan shift ever so slightly in his chair.
"I know you'll know what I'm talking about and that's the problem. I don't think you want to know," Chan replied, raising his eyebrows ever so slightly at the younger. Felix furrowed his eyebrows a little at the others statement before asking,
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"It's nothing, it's just not your cup of tea, that's all. I don't want you viewing me differently, so I think it's better left unsaid" Chan said a little bluntly only making Felix furrow his eyebrows further.
"Oh cmon, I'm not gonna treat you differently. Just tell me where you box and I'll leave it alone for tonight," Felix said, a little offended at Chans answer, only making the older raise his eyebrows higher.
"Your not gonna like it,"
"I'll decided what I do and don't like, so just spit it out" Felix snapped a little. He knew he shouldn't push, but he wanted to know why Chan wouldn't tell him, so he did anyway.
"I go to Red Dragon Fury" Chan stated making Felix widen his eyes slightly. He felt his body tense a little. He tried not to show it, but failed miserably considering the way Chan was looking at him right now.
"You mean the illegal one cops have been trying to shut down for years?" Felix asked, still shocked that someone as sweet looking as Chan could possible be involved with a place like that.
"That's the one," Chan states, watching Felix for any kind of further reaction, and he got one. Felix felt his hands tightening around himself, making him look away from the male on the stool.
"See, I told you, its better left unsaid," Chan stated making Felix hurry and look at him.
"Don't get me wrong, I'm not judging you or anything! I just wasn't expecting it, especially a place like that. I think it's cool that you are a manager for one of the fighters there" Felix exclaimed, trying to not upset the other.
Chan laughed at Felix's panicked state before gently smiling,
"Yeah, I have been for years. Your welcome to come to one of the matches if you'd like. I could get you into the V.I.P section since I have a pretty big influence over the place" Chan said making Felix widen his eyes a little.
"Really? Your that well know?"
"Well, actually my fighter has a lot of influence, and since I'm his manager, I get to ride off of it. He's been champion for 3 straight years now," Chan says, and if Felix was hearing it right, he swore he could hear pride in the others voice.
"Hm, sounds interesting. He must be very good then," Felix says making Chan smile.
"There's a match tomorrow with him, and I would love if you would be there," Chan offers making Felix gulp slightly.
"I'm not a huge fan of violence and all that jazz," Felix says, his voice filled with a little distaste.
He never understood the concept of having to hurt someone just to prove a point. It didn't seem right in many ways. Especially not when that violence was illegal and showed no mercy, exactly what Red Dragon Fury was all about.
Felix had read about the place a little while back. One of the arena's had been found and raided by police, which was a big thing considering how well hidden all the arena's were. The cops busted many people for possession of weed and marijuana, and lots of illegal betting.
The place was known for its motto of 'You fight to kill. No mercy'. From what Felix had read, no one had actually ever been killed in a match, but he wasn't entirely sure. So the fact that Chan could have gotten into the place and trained a fighter to win for 3 years straight was actually unbelievable.
Felix got snapped out of his thoughts by Chan's small laughter making him blink before looking at his coworker.
"I figured as much, just thought I'd offer. But you have to promise me that you'll tell no one. Nobody is supposed to know I work there," Chan said in all seriousness, making Felix slightly gulp at the other. As sweet as Chan could be, Felix knew that he wasn't kidding about what he said making him nod his head to the older.
Chan smiled at that before getting up from his stool, walking over to the kitchen door, before looking at Felix.
"Good. Well, have a goodnight Felix and I'll see you tomorrow," Chan casually said before waving and walking out the doors.
Felix stayed in his spot till he heard the front door opening and closing, signaling Chan had really left making him let out a breath.
Overwhelmed by the sudden news of his coworkers hidden job, Felix quickly cleaned up the shop, wanting to get home faster.
Once he made sure everything was in place, he shut off all the lights before locking the front door and running over to his car.
He eventually made it back to his apartment, making him throw off his shoes, and flop in his bed. The only thing he dreamed about that night was of Red Dragon Fury.
