As some boys lit up some sticks. They launched their sticks into the fire, which created a bigger fire like a bonfire. All gliders are there to celebrate the arrival of the new greenie. It was a tradition for them. As everyone cheered, "Gladers! Gladers! Gladers!" Repeating. Some boys were making music as well. Everyone was cherishing the moment.

"To the gladers!" Most of the gladers had toasted their drink. Eloise just sat on the side unborthed, she had to come out to the fire though. Minho wouldn't let her stay in her hut.

She still wants to make it up with Newt and Orion. She had a sudden tap on her shoulder as she was staring just at the fire. "Eloise." She turned around to see Orion.

"Listen I know we aren't on good terms right now. But I can't have you staying mad at me forever."

"Oh well I can't make any promises," She said hesitantly.

Here we go.

"Ok, listen I understand what I have done. I'm truly sorry, and you know that. I never meant for you to be hurt about it though, and you know that as well. And I'm also sorry if I did. But I do hope I can make it up to you?" She was shocked.

"Wow. Great speech." Her mind wasn't on good terms. "Sorry. I'm just not feeling like myself, since these past couple of days I haven't. And I don't know why." Completely ignoring Orion's apology. He had just stared at her.

"Oh right. Hearing you say that does mean something but Orion's apologies can't just magically fix everything sometimes. How can I trust you again?" He didn't do that big of a thing. But she was still worried.

"Well. I know I can't change the past, but I'm willing to do whatever it takes for your trust again. I get that you're mad but I've missed you." She needed that apology she missed him as well

"It's not that easy to let go. But I guess I can find a way to gain trust in you again."

"We can just go slow. I know everything isn't fine now." He finally felt relief in talking to Eloise again. "Ok. It wasn't that big of a deal you know. Maybe I was overreacting, I know why you did it but I still get to be a little bit mad."She chuckled at her last words.

She glared at him. "Do you think Newt would talk to me? I tried the other day but he just ignored me sorta."

"I'll talk to him don't worry."

She smiled. "Ok thank you." She got up and reached her hand out for him. "Com'on. I need to do it now." She didn't want her and Newt's friendship to stay broken. "Alright, I'm going." He grabbed her hand as she pulled him up.

Oh shit. He is sitting right next to the greenie.

"Wait. Now that I think about it maybe I can give him more time right?" She stopped.

"Why?" He asked concerned. "You know um just because." She didn't wanna tell him exactly why.

"Oh come on. Don't be a- never mind let me keep my mouth shut." He knew not to say that. "OK excuse me then?" She laughed. She can't be afraid of the greenie anymore.

And newt. "So, you gonna go?" He tilted his head. She sighed. "Yeah. Yeah, I'm gonna go and make it up to him and not be afraid of the greenie." She said confidently as she put her chin up. Embarrassing..

"Afraid of the greenie?!" The boy was mind blown, maybe he heard something wrong. Her eyes widen knowing she didn't mean to say that.

He started to slightly stutter. "The greenie?? Seriously Eloise."

"What?? I didn't say that." She should've just told him. "Yeah, sure. What else did you say."

"I meant like because uhh." As her 'uhh' went on for a while. "Yeah nope. We're not doing this. Get it moving, I haven't heard anything more ridiculous than you saying you're afraid of the greenie. That's just funny." He didn't know she was serious.
