Happy doesn't even begin to describe how I feel right now.
I can hardly believe we actually did it!!! We pulled off our plan. It's most definitely a bittersweet feeling.
Ever since the wedding, it feels like an immense weight has been lifted from my shoulders.
The thought, "He's dead, Stormi's really dead," keeps echoing in my mind. It's such a surreal feeling, and I still can't fully process it.
Before we executed our plan, I thought I would be having second thoughts about Ezekiel and Augustine killing Stormi, but boy, was I wrong.
Now, I feel alive—more alive than I've ever felt in my entire life.
I honestly can't wait to return home, to my normal life, and leave all of this behind me.
"Vaeh..."
"Vaeh..."
"Damn, Nevaeh, you know you hear a nigga calling yo fine ass name, ma," Ezekiel says playfully while sliding into the seat beside me in the waiting area.
"My bad, I was lost in thought," I say, turning to look at him.
"Damn, I'm sorry," Ezekiel says with a grin.
"Sorry for what?" I question, raising an eyebrow.
"I'm sorry for running through yo mind all day. Must be exhausting, huh, ma?"
I roll my eyes playfully, "Boy bye, you wish. My mind has better things to do."
"Oh, so now I'm not worth thinking about?" he teases, leaning closer, his breath warm against my ear.
"Didn't say that," I reply jokingly. "Just got more important stuff to focus on and think about."
"More important than yo man, huh? Damn, Vaeh..." he laughs, his eyes twinkling.
"My man?" I question teasingly with a raised eyebrow.
Ezekiel's grin widens, but then he takes a deep breath, his playful demeanor softening into something more serious. "I actually got something to ask you, ma. I figure dis is as good of a time as any other."
I tilt my head, curious. "What is it, Ezekiel?"
He reaches into his pocket, pulling out a small, delicate bracelet, its charm sparkling under the airport lights.
"Nevaeh, from the moment I laid eyes on you, I knew you were special. You're beautiful, funny, and just so damn amazing. Every day with you feels like a blessing, and I can't imagine my life without you in it. So, today, right here, right now, I want to ask you: will you be my girlfriend?"
