CHAPTER 003

"Your parents have a resto-bar, right, Madison? Why don't we head out and have our dinner there since we're all together na? What do you think?" Miss Sevilleja suggested, looking at me with a glimpse of hope in her eyes.

I stayed quiet and glanced at Ate Sienna who was also surprised by the sudden decision. The original plan was to go back to the café house to get Miss Gail's car at sabay na rin silang uuwi sa bahay tapos ay ako na ang gagamit sa sasakyan ko.

I actually declined Queen Sabrina's offer earlier. You know, eating dinner all together. But look what's about to happen now.

May mahigit isang oras din kaming nag stay sa site dahil maraming napag-usapan sina Miss Gail at Miss Sevilleja. I was also with them the whole time and we went through the plan and everything.

And now, we're at the nearest convenience store to quench our thirst and have our late miryenda. Ilang oras din kasi ang biyahe pabalik lalo na at may traffic jam niyan sa road na dadaanan namin.

"Yeah, sure. That sounds great. Hindi pa ako nakakabisita sa resto-bar nila Sienna, eh." Si Miss Gail na ang sumagot.

Miss Sevilleja's smile grew wider and clapped her hands with class before looking at me. She's probably waiting for my consent. Hiding my doubt, I nodded warmly.

"Let's do that. But I just want to inform everyone beforehand that the ride back home will take us a while." I said as I finished my soda. "It would be better kung bumili muna kayo kahit liquids lang."

"Alrighty, Madison. I'm gonna buy some snacks as well. Wait for a sec."

"I'll go with Audrey." Said Queen Sabrina who stood after Miss Sevilleja left.

Snacks? We just had our late miryenda. Pero, sige. Siya na 'yon, eh.

I felt a soft nudge beside me and it was Ate Sienna. Kami nalang tatlo rito sa may mga chairs and table at nananahimik. Mga walang balak bumili ng water.

"Saan mo nahanap yung client mo, Maddy? Matagal na ba kayong magkakilala?" Tanong ni Ate Sienna sa akin out of curiosity.

"Morgan introduced me to Miss Sevilleja last year, actually. Ngayon ko lang din talaga siya nakilala at nakita in person. Bakit mo natanong, Ate Sien?"

"Morgan Lim? Yung kaibigan mo no'ng college?" Gulat na tanong niya pa, completely ignoring the question I just asked. "May contact kapa pala sa kaniya. I thought you guys had an argument before."

"Bakit naman kami mag-aaway no'n?" Salubong ang kilay na tumayo ako para magtapon ng mga pinagkainan namin sa labas.

Kaagad din akong nakabalik at umupo sa bakanteng upuan malapit sa entrance door. Isang upuan lang ang pagitan ko kay Ate Sienna at Miss Gail.

"Does she still reside in New Zealand?" Asked Ate Sienna again.

"Yes, with her fam. Hindi naman din nawala ang communication namin ni Morgan, eh."

Nasabi rin sa akin ni Morgan na uuwi raw ulit siya rito sa Philippines for a short vacation. Hindi ko lang sigurado kung kailan siya babalik dito. I sort of miss her because she left right after we graduated. Family matters, I think.
