CHAPTER 008

I don't know how I ended up agreeing but, we're now on our way to her condo unit.

We already bought the ingredients for the meal I'll be cooking, her medicines and some fruits she can enjoy as she rest. Doing this for her has become more meaningful since everyone went with me and Miss Sevilleja at the supermarket to buy what we need.

It was actually moving to see them worried about her. Kahit hindi pa nakikita at nami-meet ni Ate Lexi at Morgan si Queen Sabrina, they also played a role in choosing what foods and fruits are best for her health.

After that, we all parted ways. Gusto rin sanang sumama ni Ate Sienna pero sinabihan siya ni Miss Gail at Ate Lexi na kailangan magpahinga ni Queen Sabrina and it would be overwhelming in her part if we're all gathered in her unit.

Just like that, it was Miss Sevilleja and I who will do the part of taking good care of the young Arceta.

Sa elevator kami dumiretso ni Miss Sevilleja pagkatapos namin makapag park ng sasakyan. Bitbit ko ang mga pinamili namin habang hawak hawak niya naman ang mga personal belongings na ginamit niya sa work.

All of us took an afternoon off from work as per Miss Sevilleja's. My usual routine would be, after my FSL class session I need to go to work in the afternoon. Gano'n ang ginagawa namin ni Queen Sabrina kapag may pasok kami ng M-W-F sa Robles Silent Communication Center.

But since it has already been decided, Kuya Manuel is now in charge of the management for the rest of the day.

"Is this your first time being in her condo?" She asked quietly.

I turn my face to look at her before I shook my head. "This will be my second time if the first one counts."

"For real? Naka punta kana pala. Kailan 'yon? Wala akong maalalang may kwento siya about it."

I chuckled. Bakit naman kasi niya i-ku-kwento 'yon?

"Ako ang nag deliver ng order niyang pagkain sa resto-bar namin. That was the first time I met her, so, yeah." Huminto ako sandali dahil hindi ako sigurado kung i-ku-kwento ko ba ang reason kung bakit naka pasok kaagad ako sa loob ng unit niya.

"And the details?" She asked, a little expectant. That's why I decided to tell her the story. Mag kaibigan naman sila.

Hanggang sa matapos akong magsalita ay tahimik lang na nakikinig si Miss Sevilleja. Sakto naman ang pag tunog ng elevator nang makarating ito sa fifth floor. Lumabas na kami at naglakad papunta sa unit ni Queen Sabrina.

"That was the day na umuwi siya from Australia, right?"

"I believe so."

"A snake in a condo unit sounds funny." Natatawang saad niya. She was concerned for only a split second. "You're such a kind citizen, aren't you?"

"I'm not sure about that." Sagot ko na ikinatawa niya ulit.

She asked for my help that time and I just did what I know was right. Plus, it was a desperate plea and I can't just dismiss it after I knew it was a snake.

"You're funny in your own ways, Madison. Ang humble mo masyado."

Now, I'm not sure if that was a compliment or not. I paid no attention and let her do her thing.

She proceeded on pressing the pin code on the smart door lock which surprised me. To give her some privacy, I looked away to avoid seeing the password of Queen Sabrina's condo unit.

Hindi man lang niya tinago 'yon mula sa akin?

"Come inside, Madison. Let's be quiet."

The entryway was almost empty and well organized when we came inside. Hindi katulad noong una kong punta rito na ang daming mga gamit at naka harang at kalat.
