hockey game (pt.3)

After a couple of days, Riley still felt guilty about the accident with Val. So she got her an apology bear and some Sour Patch Kids! It didn't feel like a good idea at first, but Joy insisted so she went straight to Val's classroom after school to deliver the sweets. Her Anxiety made her stop behind the door and she accidentally heard Val singing! She was singing one of her favorite songs, "Mine" by Taylor Swift. As Val was strumming the guitar she could see tears fall from her face.  Riley accidentally leaned too hard, and the door fell wide open! Riley blushed and looked like an anxious mess " V-Val.. I uh.. liked your singing.." she said shyly. Val looked up and smiled " Riley, I'm so glad to see you.. " she ran up to Riley and hugged her. Riley blushed and was shocked by the sudden hug, " Me too.. I'm really sorry about what happened." said Riley.  " Don't be sorry, I'm okay.. I know you Riley, you would never hurt me.." Val said with a chuckle. Riley smiled blushing looking at Val. She looked so beautiful sitting there alone with her guitar, even the bruise on her face looked like a piece of art. Riley touched Val's cheek " Oh man.. you're too nice Val, I bruised your pretty face." Val blushed red and moved back a bit " A-ahah yeah.. but it will heal! anyway.. I was just watching the hockey game.. from outside this window" said Val pointing out the window which had a great view from the school's ice skating rink. Riley sat by Val and looked at her "Let's watch it together! I was supposed to be in the game but hanging out with you is way cooler!" said riley all excited. Val smiled, "Of course..! let's see how long you can stay up and watch!" Riley giggled, " We'll be here all night! The first one to leave has to buy the winner a whole pizza!".  Val laughed " You food gremlin! You're on!".  After a while of watching the game outside the window.. they both fell asleep.
