Sleepover! (pt.4)

As Val and Riley were sleeping all the lights turned off at their school. Their heads were rested together and it was well into the night till Riley finally woke up. At first, she felt scared, she hated the dark and she and Valentina were locked inside since everybody went home. Tears fell down her face, she was so afraid and just stared at Val while she was sleeping, too scared to make a move. "Hey... Val...Wake up... Please..." she said while poking her friend. Riley couldn't get her to wake up, she had to shake her a couple of times. " A-AGH.....Riley?? did we fall asleep in the classroom...?" said Val. " Yes! And I don't know if we can get out.. " said Riley worried. Val grabbed Riley's hand quickly and opened the door. "Hm, that's weird, maybe someone saw us in here?" said Val as she looked left and right through the hallways. "Hey, look the entrance is wide open! let's go!" said Val and she ran off with Riley through the doors. "...I can't go home.." said Riley with tears in her eyes. ".. It will be okay.. I know what to say, Riley," said Val. As Valentina walked Riley home it was dark out, but luckily Val knew her way around the streets. They were greeted by Riley's dad when they got to her house. " RILEY!? OH THANK GOD, wait.. what happened!? who is this Riley??" exclaimed her dad. Riley began to talk but Val jumped it and talked for her " Hello, I'm Valentina Ortiz, Riley's friend from school. Uhh, you see I got really injured! Riley wanted to help me but I refused! She was so persistent though, that Riley! So.. she and I both ended up falling asleep at school...Anyway, it's my fault, she was just worried about me..." Val started bowing in apology. Riley's father looked very stern for a couple of minutes, then his gaze softened "I see... Riley.. you've troubled your friend... don't overdo it again.. Now come inside.. Val.. do you need a ride home?" said Riley's father. Val shook her head " I'll be okay...Anyway thank you for understanding Mr.Andersen.. " she said with a smile. Riley looked worried as she hugged Val goodbye and went inside. Val walked all the way home but once she got home there was a note that said "There's no food, don't come back home" in Spanish. Val started to cry, she knew her parents were tired of her, but she didn't think they would finally kick her out.. It began to rain, so she ran to the nearby park and slept near a tree. The next morning her friend Dakota came for Val. " Val?? I got your texts!! they kicked you out??" said Dakota frantically trying to hide her grin. Val nodded. " Well, you should have said so... You know my house is a mansion! just come stay with me!" said Dakota grinning now. " I-I don't know.. " said Val worried like. "What if someone sees me go home with you..? They'll know somethings up.. " said Val with pain in her eyes. " Well... maybe we could have a sleepover, ya know for the first night... and if you need to stay longer I don't think anybody will notice," said Dakota making notes on her glamstone iPhone. Val nodded " Great idea, hey.. can we invite Riley too? I think it's a good opportunity for her to make new friends." said Val slightly blushing. Dakota looked a bit pained " A-ah. yes. sounds perfect. Anyway I'm sure Alondra will want to come too! I'll send the invites.." said Dakota. "Anyway get ready, it's almost time for our first period," said Dakota pulling Val up as they walked towards the school.

--After School--

As Riley and Val were hanging out after school they were laughing and having fun. Riley had made Val a special friendship bracelet with red and blue (their signature colors). "Cuute Bracelet! I love it " said Val admiring the bracelet. " A-ah.. Riley! Can you come with me to a sleepover for tonight!" said Val taking Riley's hands in excitement. Riley blushed red "Are you sure...? " said Riley. "Of course! your like my bestest friend now! You gotta come! said Val beaming. Riley smiled "Thank you.. Val.. okay.. is 7 pm ok?". Val nodded, " I'll come a bit early! make sure you're ready! if not I'll eat all the candy for you!" said Val giggling. Riley punched her lightly in the arm. "Hey! Not my candy ://" she said laughing. Eventually, Riley saw her bus pull in, she reached out to hug Val, but all of a sudden she felt something come over her and she kissed Val on the cheek. Val blushed red very confused, and Riley took off " See you then!" as she took off quickly and ran onto the bus.
