At the outside of the room Kashi broke her silence "this is it, this is the final stroke" she spoke in disgust, she turned towards Nayna and Andrew "I know we are meeting in an unexpected situation, but let me introduce myself, I'm Kashi, the Pratham rani of King Harshat" she smiled at them, her voice turned serious with her later words "and I'll do what a maharani (grand queen) should do" she mumbled to herself and left.
...................................................................
Kashi knocked on the doors of the room where Harshat was staying "come in" , she went inside. Harshat looked at her, her presence was different today, a bold determination was running through her eyes and Harshat could feel it too, it was strong, as if dominating him. Kashi came forward "Harshat" this was the first time she ever took his name rather than addressing him as king "we have been married for over 6 years now, am I correct?" She stood straight "Yes, why?" Due to his father's dominant nature over him for years, he tends to easily surrender himself in terms of relationship opinions, which Kashi knew well "I know I love you, but you cannot return back those feelings, and that's fine, love can never be forced" she looked straight in his eyes, for the first time in her life, she's using one of the tricks taught by the teacher specifically to her when she was young, how to win a man, get him to agree with you. "I never wanted or demanded anything from you till this day, I always did what a grand queen should do, didn't I?" She took his hand in hers, still maintaining eye contact "Yes, but why are you saying this all now?" Harshat knew guilt was his weakness, but he never knew how to overcome it "because today I want something, and if you have any respect for me, you will give me what I want" she put his hands on her head "vow that you will give me the punishment you will give any other citizen" that's it, she said it, It was not hard to agree, but what scared Harshat was her actions after this, what was she going to do? But he cannot say no to her, its the least she deserved. "Alright, I will" He was unsure, but he was left with no choice, her words scared him, he needs to have a talk with Tara about this.
Kashi felt releived, she left after saying a thank you. On the other hand Nayna and Andrew again had entered the room, they found Tara siting on the bed, looking much fresh this time, upon feeling a presence Tara looked up and smiled at them "Its you both, come and sit" as told, Nayna sat on the bed near her and Andrew sat on the nearest chair. "Sorry for giving such a bad impression to you, thank you for taking care of my sister this whole time, I truly appreciate it" she said to Andrew in English "no please, its a natural reaction to anyone, and Nayna is so beautiful, how can I not care about her" He stared a while at Nayna, then spoke again " and I have learned basic hindi from Nayna, you can converse in Hindi with me if you want" He smiled, to which Tara nodded.
"Nayan, I should apologise to Harshat, after watching maa and baba fall to their death, I lost my thinking capacity, I acted in a rush and..." she sighed "Its one of your traits di, you usually don't get angry, but if something bad happens, you loose your mind very easily" she snickered. All of them fell silent for a minute, which was broke by Andrew throwing a pocket knife towards the wall near the doors "ahhh" it was one of the servants, she got saved by an inch "who are you, and what are you doing here?" Andrew stood up and asked the servant in a very cold and rude demeanor "I-I am one o-of the servants, I brought some fruits for rani Tara" she shivered as she looked down in fear "We don't need them, please leave" Nayna told the servant knowing how rude he can get sometimes. Tara got up and pulled Andrew's ears "you young man, why did you target her, what if it hurt her?! You think you're some kind of mafia or what?!" Andrew knew he can't reveal his identity right now, not in this much chaos "I'm sorry baby, I will not do it again, please don't twist my ears" He flinched in pain, she left him alone, while he rubbed his ears.
"Where is rani Kashi?" Tara asked Nayna "Kashi....you mean the grand queen?" She took sometime to gather the information in her head, Tara nodded "I think she went to the east side of the palace, near the court room" Tara stood up and said to Nayna and Andrew "you both stay here, I'll be back after meeting rani Kashi" she exited the room.
On her way towards where Nayna said Kashi is, she met her. As if Kashi was also coming to meet Tara both of them said at the same time "we need to talk".
Upon agreeing, both of them came to a corner and started their conversation "rani Kashi, thank you so much for taking care of me, I don't know what to say but truly, thank you" Tara started first, Kashi put her index finger on her lips, directing Tara to keep quiet "now listen to me" she took her hand and kept it on her head "remember this, whatever will happen is neither your fault, nor Harshat's, I asked to do it, and if you have any ounce of respect for me, lead a happy life with Harshat" her words were a bit complicated but she agreed.
Kashi went meet the father king, the old man let her in without any hesitation "come in Kashi, what happened, why are you here now" Kashi came near him "you killed the king and queen of Nazabgar right?" He laughed an evil laugh "Yes, how dare that girl lie to me! She should pay for that!!" He turned towards her "anyways, the blame will be on Harshat and Tara will hate him, take this chance and get near him, and produce a real heir this time" He huffed. He turned his back to her, that's why she called him "father" He turned.
As soon as he turned Kashi stabbed his chest near the heart with a dagger "I'm the grand queen, this is what I should do, punishing the wrong doer who hurt my people" she twisted it, making him grunt in pain "good bye". That's how the the father king died.
