As soon as he turned Kashi stabbed his chest near the heart with a dagger "I'm the grand queen, this is what I should do, punishing the wrong doer who hurt my people" she twisted it, making him grunt in pain "good bye". That's how the the father king died.

................................................................

The death of the father king spread throughout the palace like wildfire, Everyone was gossiping about it. When Kashi opened the door of the room, the gaurds quickly limited her movements upon seeing the dead ex king.

The other gaurds quickly ran to Harshat to inform the deed of the grand queen. Harshat, Tara,Nayna and Andrew were together in a room where they were about to discuss their current concerns. After hearing the news, everyone was shocked, the grand queen who never sat down without the father king's permission killed him? That's impossible, there has to be some other conspiracy behind it. "Kashi would never do such a thing! I know her from my childhood" Harshat exclaimed "Yes! Stop slandering the grand queen, it is a punishable act!! Its a crime!!" Tara too defended her. Nayna and Andrew on the other hand stayed quite, they knew her for only few hours, nothing can be determined in such a short period of time, but Nayna had faith in her sister's judgement, if she's saying Kashi is not like that, then it's true, Andrew also had faith in Nayna, if she thinks the grand queen is innocent, then she is, there's no in between.

Another soldier came with another information "my king!" He bowed "the ministry is demanding an answer and justice on this situation, they want a court room to be opened right now" He completed his sentence still bowing, fearing if the king will get angry at him "I know, you may leave" He fanned his hand to make him leave. Harshat turned to others while huffing "now what?" All of them went quite, deep down they all knew it may happen after what she conversed about with them.

For not being able to delay it any further, the court room was arranged. Harshat was sitting on the throne at the top, Tara, Nayna and Andrew stayed behind the curtains with seats arranged for the queens to examine the court. Then there stood Kashi, fully shackled in chains like a prisoner. The elder girls Vaishali and rudraveena joined behind the curtains, worried about Kashi.

"Maharaj, Maharani killed your father and our beloved ex king, Please do justice and give this evil sinner death sentence this instance!" The prime minister spoke in anger "Yes my king! She is evil, how dare she kill the father king?!" Another minister of the court spoke. Kashi stood there with a particular blank look on her face, as if she has no regrets and no hurt being called a criminal in front of the court. Harshat stayed silent the whole time thinking of ways to dilute the anger of the court and divert their attention to something else.

"All of them are ungrateful! Rani Kashi did so much for the kingdom, and they didn't even took one second to go against her and call her out like that!" Rudraveena presented her thought "Yes! I'm sure she did nothing wrong, someone is setting her up! She sure never stood up against the father king for us, but took care of us in secret everyday, rani Tara, can you not do something?" Vaishali asked her. Tara also wanted to stop whatever is going on, but acting hastily against the court ministers is the worst choice right now "I will what I can of course, but now is not the right time" she sighed, her eyes were still glued on Kashi.

"Rani Kashi, the allegation of killing the father king is on you, there were many gaurds as  witnesses, what do you gave to say in your defence" Harshat finally spoke resulting in a pin drop silence throughout "I've nothing to say Maharaj, the truth is as clear as water, I killed the father king with my own hands" her voice had volume and grace, the ministers never witnessed this side of her personality, she was not a meek queen today, she stood as if she had power in her "if so, what was your motive behind it?" His mind was going blank at this point, why would she confess her crime right away? Her denying the fact could have helped to take out the blame a lot "I held grudge against him, he used to for his responsibilities, but never handed over the full power to me, thats why I hated him, and he killed rani Tara's parents which he wanted me to clear up his name, so I got frustrated and killed him" her voice was so calm, as if reading a message to others "The king is kind, he treats his people well, I'm sure he knows what to do" this was a twisted way of reminding Harshat is promise, the one he made before this chaos, he got stuck in dilemma, he didn't want to disrespect her wish, but killing a royal family member is punished by death penalty.

"Since the criminal spoke it's crimes on its own, According to the law of our kingdom I, the king Harshat announce death penalty to rani Kashi-" He gave his judgement but got cut off by Tara "I object!! Rani Kashi would never do such a thing, and even if she did, how can we treat her so badly after her years of dedication to this state?!" She stood up "Don't act foolish, how dare you interrupt the king!" The prime minister roared "I, as the now 2nd wife and 2nd queen of the king have every right to cut his words off!" Tara roared back "Yes your majesty, but you do not have power to impose decisions in the outer court, just like how king cannot do that in inner palace" He got his point fair, Tara sat down in defeat.

"Silence!! Rani Kashi will be held captive in prison for now. After a thorough investigation, if she's found guilty, she will be executed in public. Gaurds, take her away, the court is dismissed!".
