Chp. 17 - ( Stained )

I walked to Todoroki's side gripping my sore wrist then clasping my palms together as I stretched them in front of my chest. Right after I immediately requested for Todoroki to tell me the current issue. "Fill me in, what is there to know?"

Todoroki grits his teeth, "We've been trying to get Iida and the other hero to safety." I'd look at Iida then the Pro hero slumped up against the wall covered in blood.

I cracked my neck, "So, you just need someone to buy time, right?"

Todoroki : "Yes, but.."

Midoryia yelled, "Don't let him consume your blood, (Y/N)! He's paralyzed me, Iida, and the other hero!"

Iida spoke out and had an agonized voice, and you could tell he was crying. "(Y/N)! Please! Don't involve yourself! Nobody else needs to get hurt because of me! Stop sacrificing yourself for my foolish mistakes!"

I opened my mouth wanting to say something then closed it. As I looked at Todoroki. "Take the 3 and go, I've got Stain." Right as I said this, stain appeared in the air ready to take my life.

Stain : "Done monologuing? Good, now die."

Iida, Midoryia, and Todoroki all screamed my name. "(Y/N)!"

When the blade was an inch from my neck, it completely disappeared catching stain off guard. Within the second he hesitated to make another move, I grabbed Stain's neck then slammed him into the concrete, gripping onto his neck. "Saving those 3 is the priority, Todoroki."

As soon as stain attempted to resist by slamming his leg upwards on me I slammed my knee into his sternum, then grabbing on his mandible at the same time to keep eye contact with him. "You're going nowhere, Hero Killer Stain."

Todoroki didn't say a word and immediately ran to Midoryia, the pro hero and Iida quickly escorting them elsewhere away from me and Stain. I watched with a smile on my face.

I acted strong in front of them, but truth be told even turning Stain's blade into nothingness placed extreme strain on my body. I had to keep a stern face though, or they would've stayed.

While in thought, I was caught off guard by Stain, who managed to grab his dagger on his waist slamming it into my thigh. Once he took it out he immediately went for the kill by licking my blood but luckily enough I was quick enough to smack it out of his hands, then using matter destruction on the blade.

I slightly winced in pain from the use of my quirk right now, it took everything I had to not pass out from the pain right then. Stain saw this opportunity, slamming his fist into my face then shoving me off of him.

I somersaulted backwards, making eye contact with the villain.

Stain : "You're a naive brat. Taking me on alone to let your friends get away. Don't you understand the risk of that?!" He dashed towards me while grabbing another one of his katanas. Within the moments of him dashing towards me I needed to think.

I can't use my quirk, I'm already injured and my body's sore. He's got weapons as well and I don't have my katana currently because I left it at UA to be repaired and fixed to my liking. I'm at the clear disadvantage, even though I know what his quirk is, he doesn't know mine. If he's dashing at me with a weapon after seeing me take away his weapon before then he definitely noticed me in pain moments after I used my quirk.

I was sweating and couldn't think of a plan. For the first time ever, I had two options. Either raw dog this man out, or stall until Todoroki can bring more heroes. Both sounded nearly impossible with stakes these high. He knew if he kept coming at me I wouldn't have enough time to think. Even though he's the Hero Killer Stain, he was smart in that regard.
