Chp. 10 - ( UA's Sport Festival! )

(Y/N)'s POV

Finally, today was the day. The start of the U.A festival. We were all in the Participant waiting rooms getting ready. I was prepping myself mentally. Taking deep breaths, I thought back to what Bakugo said the other day. He wasn't going to hold back, nobody in the festival was going to.

I decided to wear compression sleeves to cover up my scars on my arms.

Midoryia : "This is sort of nerve wracking."

I looked over to Midoryia. "Yeah, it is."

Ashido : "Darn it! I wanted to wear my costume!"

Iida : "We all did, but it'll only give unfair advantages to other students. They want to make sure we're all on equal standings. As expected of UA."

Kirishima : "Yeah, plus like Mr.Aizawa said before we went into USJ, we're not sure if our costumes even benefit us yet. So it makes sense for us to not use them right now."

Ashido sighed, "I know, I know. I just wish we could've used them still!"

Uraraka : "I wonder what the first round's gonna be.."

Iida : "No matter what comes, we will have no choice but to deal with it!"

Uraraka : "Right!"

Iida : "Everyone!! Are you ready? We'll be entering soon!"

Students : "Yeah!"

Suddenly the door opened as Todoroki came out.

Todoroki turned to me.

Todoroki : "(Y/N). Midoryia."

The entirety of our class looked over. Todoroki wasn't a talkative type so it was weird he was approaching one of us.

Midoryia : "Yeah Todoroki? What's up?"

Todoroki : "Midoryia, looking at things objectively it's clear I'm stronger than you."

Midoryia : "Huh? Oh yeah.."

Todoroki : "But you have All Might keeping his eye on you. I'm not going to pry deeply into that, but my old man is the number 2 hero, Endeavor. That just gives me more reason to beat you."

Todoroki fixated his glare to (Y/N)

Todoroki : "And (Y/N), although you're strong, that will be your downfall. You have weaknesses I can exploit and use to humiliate you this tournament. I've thought this out, you will not be beating me again ever."

Kaminari : "Oh? What's up with all of the declarations of war recently? And the two strongest of the class not to mention."

Kirishima walked up between the three of us.

Kirishima : "Hey, hey, hey! Why're you all picking a fight all of a sudden? Not now! We're about to start!"

Todoroki : "We're not here to be playing at friends, so what does it matter?"

Midoryia : "Todoroki.. I don't know what you're thinking when you say you'll beat me and (Y/N).... But of course you're better than me. I think you're capable than most people, looking at it objectively."

Kirishima : "Midoryia, you probably shouldn't talk so negatively-"

Midoryia : "The students from other courses are aiming for the top with everything they've got." Midoryia clinched his fists. "I can't afford to fall behind. I'll be going for it with everything I have too."
