The young Lord, and future Earl to his sister's throne, Albert Wesker grumbled to himself as he soon exited out of the castle's front gates and sighed. He would've enjoyed the merciful sunshine breeze touselling his blonde locks had it not been for the stress lining his brow and troubled, baby blue eyes that stared out over the horse-drawn carriage that awaited his sister.

Her majesty had suggested that they use this time to spend what little they had together to perhaps go on yet another shopping spree in the Capitol. She was said to be shipped out in two days for her courting to begin in Austria, a row of suitors lining up to try their best to impress the future Queen of England. To exchange her hand in marriage for fame and fortune and to rule over the seas and the British Isles.
Albert would've been by his sister's side, however, she had thoroughly requested that whilst she was gone, a line of bachelorettes was to propose to her little brother in good faith. She wanted to secure a happy future for her little brother, just as Sir Kenneth, the Duke of Wellington, and their other brother, had married shortly before he too had flown the nest in search of exploration. Kenneth Wesker had taken his wife and three-year-old son with him and set sail eastward to witness first-hand their exploits in the British Raj.

Their other brother, Duke of Edinburgh, Jonah Wesker, had not yet married. If anything, he had sought fame and glory through battle. Jonah had always been a pillar of the masculinity that the Weskers prided themselves on.

Duchesses Laura and Felicity were too young to be wed, but Albert was stern to oblige them and handpick their future bachelors should the need ever arise that they could not make an informed decision for themselves. If Alexandra, the total Monarch, did not marry and produce an heir, the throne would go straight to Kenneth and his children since Jonah did not plan on getting married anytime soon - his morals lie in the belief that he could not break a woman's beautiful heart and damn her to a widowed life.

So there was very little need for an heir with so many children, and their younger siblings did not need to rush to exchange their hands for marriage with any other branch of royalties scattered across the continent if Alexandra and Kenneth were spearheading those responsibilities.

All Alex wanted for her little brother was to find a meaningful, safe purpose, and a happy life. She already had someone in mind for her to spend her future with, they'd been sending handwritten letters back and forth, and Albert half hoped for his older sister's sake that she was going to Austria to marry this man.

Albert stood at the top of the stairs as his sister soon joined by his side, stunning in her gorgeous, canary-yellow dress lined with sparkling diamonds and gems from faraway lands that glittered cheerfully in the sunlight. Her breathing blonde locks were strung back and held above the nape of her neck in a dashing, honeycomb bun that was adorned with a beautiful brochure in the shape of a bumblebee. Her pale face soon lit up with merry gleefulness as she turned to smile at her brother, his own handsome features and blonde locks on display for the courtyard to awe at. Albert took after their mother, just as Alexandra and Felicity did, with her sandy, golden hair. The others strung a chord familiar to their father with his much darker hair and narrow, unforgiving features.

"Brother," Alex asked as she elegantly held out her arm. "Will you be so kind as to help me down to my chariot?"

"Of course," Albert replied in a monotone, bland voice. His eyes glared icy daggers into the side of the black and golden carriage. "My dear sister."

He tenderly enveloped her arm around his and carefully took the first few steps down before a strong breeze swept by them and Albert braced himself against his sister to shield her from its might. One of the guardsmen saw them halt and narrowed his gentle, puppy-like, brown eyes. Albert narrowed his eyes back at the young man but before he could protest, the guardsman soon jumped up a few of the last remaining stairs and offered to take Alex's other side.
