"It's... the same monster... like back in Shiganshina..." Morgan whispered frightfully under her breath.
Within the shadow of the skinless Titan, the entire district of Trost looked up in terror. It loomed over them like a phantom, as its devilish eyes gazed down upon them like insects.
Atop the wall, Eren Jaeger stared it down, right in the eyes. Without wasting another second, he launched himself towards it with his ODM gear. Like a bullet, he flew through the air.
"You're mine!" he raged, diving towards its nape. "I'm going to kill you this time! Don't think you're getting away!"
"Eren wait!" Mina screamed out to him, but her voice was ignored by the fury fuelled boy.
Eren swerved, ducked, and propelled himself around the huge Titan, determination blazing within his eyes. Once he anchored round the back of the Titan, he launched himself at the weak spot.
"It's over! I've got you-"
But before his blade could connect, he was sent flying back as the skinless Titan erupted into a dense plume of steam. The hot steam began to suffocate him, as the scent of burning skin filled his nostrils.
Damn it!! Not like this!!
Unfortunately, before Eren could pursue the Titan, it had vanished into thin air. There was no trace of its remains, nor any sign of where it went.
The boy from Shiganshina landed back on the wall, as the other cadets rushed over to him.
"Are you okay...?!" Sasha asked nervously. "Did you get the Titan?"
"No..." he replied, cursing at himself. "It escaped just before I could kill it..."
While the other cadets scrambled around Eren in an attempt to figure out what happened to the skinless giant, Morgan and Khye realised something far worse - the skinless giant and broken a hole in the wall.
"K-Khye..." Morgan stammered, staring down towards Trost. "It's happening again..."
Just then, a military solider grappled up the wall to make a grim announcement: "All cadets are to relocate to Trost HQ, where further instructions will be provided! Do NOT engage in Titan combat until then!"

It did not take long for all the cadets to gather within the courtyard of Trost HQ. Faces were pale, eyes wide with fear, and the scent of sweat lingered in the air. Moving frantically, the cadets loaded their gas canisters and readied their equipment. Some whispered quick prayers to themselves, while many had already felt sick in the stomach.
