SUZUNES POVI groaned as I woke up with a pounding headache and my throat not only dry, but also sore. Perhaps staying in the pool Saturday with Kiyotaka until closing hours and then not drying myself off was not the brightest of ideas. I stumbled my way towards my kitchen, using the counters as leverage to hold me up so I didn't fall. My nose ran faster than I currently could as I weakly opened the drawer to find a spoon to stir the tea that I currently was failing to make.
"My bed sounds comfortable right now." I glanced at the LED clock that resided on my bedside table and I couldn't help but notice that school began in an hour and a half.
"It seems the bed that calls my name will have to wait..." I sighed as I undressed to make my way into the shower. My hair was greasy and my hands lacked the strength to do it well today let alone wash it so after I finished the shower that nearly had me falling asleep against the wall, I tied my hair into a loose bun since I quite literally couldn't tighten it.
[One message received.]
Kiyo❤️: Meet bottom floor in twenty minutes?
Me: ok
It seems that he had gotten used to shortening his messages which was quite an improvement from sending me long paragraphs of conversation that he would usually have in a real life situation.
Twenty minutes?
Twenty?!
The hour and a half passed by far too quickly. Did I actually fall asleep?
What a pitiful state I am in.
I put on my school uniform and put the necessities in my bag as I headed out the door nearer to the time and made my way to the bottom floor.
I saw him leaning against a wall, scrolling on his phone. I took a deep breath and walked over to him.
"Morning." He greeted, tucking his phone into his pocket and sticking out his hand. I grabbed it and intertwined my fingers with his.
"Good morning." I replied. He took a moment to glance me up and down.
"New hair do? I like it." He told me, perhaps he didn't realise that my hair was unfortunately not washed.
"Yes, I wanted to try it out." That was a lie. I just feel so unbelievably. I swallowed the ill feeling in the back of my throat and we begun walking. I was walking slower than usual but he matched my pace.
My head leaned into his shoulder as we walked, "Are you okay?" He asked. There was a slight bit of worry in his voice as his thumb caressed the top of my hand.
"I'm perfect. Just a bit tired." I yawned slightly, using my free hand to cover my mouth.
Though it took longer than usual, we made it to class and homeroom was beginning. I rested my head on my desk, my eyes practically shutting by themselves.
I was then only awoken by my body shifting onto someone's back, "You didn't tell me you were ill." A familiar voice resonated through my ears.
"I couldn't skip school, we'd loose class points..." I mumbled into his back, my eyes once again getting heavy.
"Your health matters more." Four simple words that made my heart flutter an awful amount, "I'll take care of you today." He said as he began to walk out of the classroom, carrying me effortlessly.
"Our class points-?"
"I paid private points for us to both be dismissed today. Don't fret. Now sleep." And so I did. Quite quickly.
