Hey peeps!!!! I know the update is quite late but I started writing at 8 tonight. You know, I thought about the offers, they all were quite tempting.

Now, you can go back to reading coz I know how impatient you all are to know whether Meera forgives Aadit or not? Hehe...

Author's POV

Night, The Island (8:20 pm)

The tension was thick in the air, the silence was so deafening that it made him wonder if he was all alone in the house. Aadit looked at Meera with sceptical fear, afraid of her reaction after knowing the whole truth. He just finished reciting to her the incident of her Mehendi night, when his man informed him of Abhay's ongoing marriage and how he chose to keep it a secret. Just so, Abhay gets married and his alliance with her breaks, clearing his path towards his love.

Her! His ladaku chidhiya.

Meera was silent, looking at the calm ocean in distance, standing still at her place. She couldn't believe Aadit would do something like this just so he could have her. With heavy emotions and a pained soul, she didn't know how to handle the truth. But she couldn't help wonder, whatever he did might be for selfish reasons but it did save her from getting her heart broken in the longer run. Even if he had told her about Abhay's deceiving act, still she would have felt bad that he was cheating on her with Heer. She didn't know whether to appreciate his aid, or curse him for his deceptive ploy.

Seeing her so silent, Aadit spoke desperately, "Kuch to kaho Meera."

His desperation, yearning and hesitation were clearly visible to her. She looked at him and asked, "Mujhe nahi samjh aa rha kya kahu. Dhoka to tumne bhi mujhe diya hai, apne bhai ki tarah. Bas difference ye hai, usne kyunki vo mujhse pyaar nahi karta aur tumne isliye kyunki tum mujhse pyaar krte ho."

Aadit felt his heart breaking hearing this, he never wanted to deceive her but his obsession for her led him to do the bidding. Shaking his head, he tried to explain himself, "Ham jaante hain hamne dhoka kiya hai Meera, par ham bahot dar gye the. Tumhari shaadi ko bas ek din bacha tha. Umeed kho chuke the ham. Par jab bhai sa ki shaadi ke bare mein pata chla to ek umeed nazar aayi, tumhe apna banane ki. Bas isliye hi...please hame samjho. Hamara iraada galat nahi tha."

Meera felt in her heart a distinguished peace watching him crave her to that extent. The ache in her heart was now turning to a feeling of burning desire and serenity in his presence. She asked him doubtfully, "Par kya gurantee thi ki aisa hi hota. Dadi sa agar tumhara rishta nahi laati, to I would've gone back to Mumbai. Kya pata, mujhe longer run mein koi aur pasand aa jata aur meri usse sha..."

But before she could complete it, his desperate and hurried tone cut her off, "Nahi, bilkul nahi."

He felt breathless just imagining her as somebody else's partner, the thought itself made him feel dead. Seeing how it affected him, Meera too felt her breath turning rapid and her body shiver. She wondered if his feelings were making her feel all of this, the electrifying connection between them.

With determined steps, he moved towards her and spoke with a terrifying calmness, "Aisa kabhi nahi hota. Kismat pe bharosa tha hame. Kismat bhi apna kaam tab krti hai jab ham uski madad krte hain. Hame kismet ne ek chance diya, aur hamne use gavaya nahi. Is baat ki khushi hai hame."

His closeness was turning her into a mush, still with baited breaths she questioned, "Par aisa nahi hota to?"

Aadit answered in a maddening passion that made her insides squirm, "Lad lete ham. Chheen lete tumhe. Apne bhai se chheen sakte hain to koi aur bahot mamuli baat hai. You were mine Meera, since always. Meant to be just mine. I would've won you anyhow."
