Author's POV

Same day, Suryavanshi Palace (1:30 pm)

"Maaf kariyega hukum!"

Those were the last words Adheesh heard, and Damini's evil smile was the last thing he saw before falling down on the floor with a thud. Ariaa shouted loudly, "Adheeshhhhhh!"

"Bhai sa!"

"Adheesh!"

Various shouts were heard all around them, and Ariaa ran to him sitting beside him. But before anybody else could step towards him, all the guns were now pointed towards Abhay, Heer, Aadit and Meera making them freeze. The scene shifted so quickly, that they couldn't make anything of it.

Damini ordered the men surrounding them, "Pakdo in sabko..."

As soon as she ordered, the men held Abhay and Aadit's arms who were trying to break free, while two men held Meera and Heer. As Abhay tried to kick one of the men, Damini clicked her tongue and warned, "Na, ye galti mat karna. Aapki biwi yahin hai Abhay, nahi to inka vahi haal karenge hamare aadmi jo inki maa ka us Ranjit ne kiya tha."

Abhay froze hearing her, and looked at her shocked seeing the vileness in her form. She warned Aadit too, "Aap bhi Aadit."

Aadit looked at Meera who was being held by two men, and was at gunpoint. She was trying to break free from the guards. Vulnerably, he looked down defeated, and quietened down. Soon, the four were pushed on their knees with guns pointing at them. Ariaa was patting Adheesh's cheeks frantically trying to wake him up, "Adh...Adheesh...uthiye hukum...Adheesh...hukum please...please wake up."

Aradhya was in shock, so were Jai and Pranita. The former asked Damini with tears in her eyes, "Ye sab kya hai dadi sa? Aap...aap bhai sa ko goli kaise..."

Damini looked at Aradhya, and spoke softly, "Dariye mat Aru beta, aapko kuch nahi karenge ham. Hamari dushmani in teeno se hai, aapse nahi."

Aradhya shivered hearing Damini's words and looking at the scenario near her. Damini looked at Randeep, and walked to him. She caressed his head and mumbled with love, "Hamara beta...finally aap apne ghar vaapis aa gye hain. Kholiye inhe..."

All looked on surprised as the men opened Randeep's binds and set him free. Abhay spoke glaring at Damini, "Ye aap thik nahi kar rhi hai dadi sa."

His eyes went to Adheesh, who laid as still as ice on the floor with his head in Ariaa's lap. He so wanted to rush to him and see if his brother was breathing. Same was the case with Aadit. Damini smiled and looking at Abhay answered, "Ham jaante hain ham kya kar rhe hain Abhay. Aap na hi sikhaye to behtar hain."

Till then, even Randeep was out of his bounds and he wobbled, standing up on his feet to hug Damini. She patted his back and spoke with utmost love, "Hamara beta, hamare jigar ka tukda. Itne saal aapse dur rhe, ab aakhirkar aapki ghar vaapsi hui hai."

Seeing Damini being so loving with the enemy, it was a huge shock for the brothers and even the girls. Ariaa was still crying over Adheesh, speaking through her sobs, "Adheesh please...uthiye na...aap...aapka baby...hamara baccha...uske liye hi uth jaiye."

Aadit felt tears in his eyes seeing her state, and even his brothers. With rage building, he growled in anger, "Agar hamare bhai sa ko kuch bhi hua na, ham aap dono ki jaan le lenge."
