Isabela and Mirabel are lying in the pile of flowers on the courtyard after all their dancing and singing.
“You're a bad influence,” Isabela tells Mirabel, giggling.
Mirabel grins, enjoying the moment with her older sister.
“What is going on?!” Alma enters casita with a furious frown looking all around the courtyard that is full with Isabela’s new out of control plants.
Immediately Isabela and Mirabel sit up, Isabela looks afraid, while Mirabel grins.
“Abuela!” Mirabel talks excitedly getting up from the floor. Isabela doing the same.
"It’s okay, everything’s fine, we’re going to save the miracle, the-”
“What are you talking about?” Abuela interrupts her. “Look around you, look at your sister!”
The family starts to gather all around the courtyard.
Isabela puts her head down in shame. Mirabel frowns.
“Please, just, Isabela wasn't happy and-”
“Of course she wasn't happy, you ruined her proposal!”
Isabela frowns when she sees Abuela raise a hand… Mirabel realizes this and braces herself…
…SLAP…
Mirabel looks up not feeling anything.
Isabela’s head goes to the side because of the force she has been hit with.
Every family member gasps looking at the scene with disbelief.
Mirabel gasps in horror understanding what has happened.
Isabela didn't need to think twice before protecting her hermanita, when she saw what abuela was going to do.
Then…Isabela breaks.
SLAP!
Another slap echoes the room…
This time it was Isabela's turn to slap Alma with the same force she was slapped.
Alma looks at Isabela in disbelief. Everyone else looks wide-eyed. However Alma’s disbelief vanishes, getting mad.
“ISA-”
“WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?! YOU ALMOST HIT MY HERMANITA!” Isabela screams furiously. "She's your nieta!"
Everyone is in shock. Isabela has never screamed at abuela. As a matter of fact she had never even argued with abuela.
“This is all your fault Mirabel, look what you’ve done to your sister!”
“PLEASE, JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP! Mirabel just helped me realize what I should have done from the beginning.
Mirabel then cuts in, getting beside Isabela.
“I will never be good enough for you. Will I? No matter how hard I try."
“No matter how hard any of us tries” Mirabel realizes.
Everyone looks sad.
“Luisa will never be strong enough, Isabela won't be perfect enough! Bruno left this family because you saw the worst in him!-” Mirabel screamed
“Bruno didn't care about this family!”
“He loves this family, we all love this family, you’re the one that doesn't care, you're the one breaking our home-”
“DON'T YOU EVER-”
“THE MIRACLE IS DYING BECAUSE OF YOU!” Screamed Mirabel.
CRACK!
A huge crack appeared in between Alma and the two sisters.
Everyone stared horrified.
“No no no” said Pepa worried.
“The candle!” said Felix.
“Casita get me up there!” Mirabel started running towards the candle.
“Mirabel, no!” Isabela screamed, starting to run behind her, conjuring her vines.
Luisa and Dolores were helping Alma. Camilo ran up stairs shapeshifting into different people to try and help Isabela save his prima.
Isabela is almost at the ceiling when her door fades…and she drops.
“ISABELA” her parents screamed.
As some kind of miracle, Isabela manages to hold on to the edge of the roof...
