Christmas Day, Brendon spent the full day with us. I gave him the gift I had bought him months ago. It was some new guitar picks and a new acoustic guitar. He loved it.
Mom got me some Fleetwood Mac vinyl. Tango in the night. I got new pjs and my favourite perfume La vie est belle.
I got Mom a new painting easel and some new acrylic paints. Mom likes to paint as a hobby. I also got her some really decent paintbrushes. They cost more than the paints and easel combined.
"Liz! These must have cost you a fortune! Honey, I love them. Thank you." And she hugged me.
Brendon and I cooked a turkey dinner. We played games and sang karaoke. It was a fun day.
Brendon asked me if I wanted to stay over at his place. Mom said she would be fine on her own. So I went.We got back to Brendons' apartment. I dropped my bag in Brendons' bedroom. He came and put his arms around me. I put my arms around his neck. We had our foreheads touching. Brendon started singing to me.
When the world gets too heavy, put it on my back
I will be your levy
You are taking me apart, like bad glue
On a get well cardIt was always you falling for me
Now there's always time calling for me
I'm the light blinking at the end of the road
Blink back to let me knowI'm a fly that is trapped in a web
But I'm thinking that my spider's dead
Lonely, lonely little life
I could kid myself in thinking that I'm fineIt was always you falling for me
"That was beautiful, Beebo." I said.
"I wrote it." Brendon told me.
"Wow. It's gorgeous."
"It's called 'Always'." Brendon explained.
I kissed him and laid my head on his shoulder as he carried on singing. After he finished, he kissed me on my neck and held me tight.
"I love you, Elizabeth Dixon."
"I love you, Brendon Urie." I replied back.I felt like the part of me that was missing had finally come back. I didn't even realise it was missing until Brendon and I reconciled. He kissed my neck again and pulled back to look at me. He smiled and traced my facial features with his fingers. He tucked a strand of hair behind my ear. He kissed me lightly on my forehead eyelids nose, cheeks, and chin.
"You are so beautiful. I missed seeing your face here every day. I couldn't look at photos of you. It was too painful." Brendon said.
I bowed my head, and tears were in my eyes. Brendon caught my face in his hands and lifted my head to look at him.
"Hey, no tears. It's Christmas, and you are here with me."
"I know." I sniffed. "I just...." I took a deep breath and began again." I just thought that I was doing the best thing for you by letting you go. I thought that I wasn't being fair keeping you tied to me when I couldn't spend any time with you. I wanted you to be happy." I explained.
"How do you know that I wasn't happy?" He looked me in the eye. "Baby, I was with you. I was so happy. I understood about your mother. I was trying to be supportive by giving you both some space. I didn't want to be pulling you to me when your mom needed you."Brendon now had tears in his eyes. "When you ended things, that's when I wasn't happy. In fact, I was downright miserable. It got to the point where my friends were worried about my mental well-being." I looked at Brendon in shock and guilt.
"Omg, I had no clue, Bren. I just just...." and I started to sob at the thought that I hurt Brendon to the degree that I did. We held each other as we cried together. We both grieved for our loss of time together. I kissed Brendon all over his gorgeous face, apologising profusely.
"Shhh Lizzie, it's ok. It's in the past now." He said, reassuring me. Our kisses became more passionate, and we made love on the living room rug. After we had finished, Brendon was still between my legs when he looked at me with such love. He stroked my face and kissed me again.
"Marry me." He said.
"What?" I was taken aback.
"You heard me. Marry me." Brendon repeated.
"Well, when?" I asked.
"How about New Years Eve?" Then his head jerked towards me. "Wait, did you just say yes?"
"I think I did." I smiled at Brendon. We kissed.
"Mrs Urie." Brendon said. "It has a nice ring to it."
"It certainly does." I giggled.
"What's funny?" Brendon asked, looking confused.
"The thought of telling people our proposal story."I giggled more. "You have just proposed whilst you are still inside me."
"Shit, I didn't think about that." Brendon laughed. We kissed again."Round 2, then?"
"What do you think?" I replied, kissing him.
"Mmmm." He moaned into the kiss. "First time I get to fuck you as my fiancée." Brendon laughed.
"You are such a romantic." I said, and we made love again. The following day, I had an afternoon shift at Ray's Records. As I put stock on the shelves, the door to the store opened. It was Sarah, and she had Kaylin with her. I looked at them both.
"What's going on?" I asked Sarah.
"Kaylin has something that she wants to say to you." I turned to Kaylin.
"Liz, I am sorry. I was so jealous of you and Brendon, I wanted him for myself. When you split up, I thought it was my chance. As hard as I tried, he is still in love with you. So I am so sorry for my actions and what I did." Kaylin looked genuinely sorry.
"Apolody accepted Kaylin, but things will never be the same between us now. Me and Brendon will need to work on things, too. So don't think he is off the hook either." Sarah smiled and hugged me. Kaylin stood behind Sarah
I then hugged her. The door opened again, and Brendon walked in.
