Extended Summary

Emmett Knight had enlisted in the Navy right after high school. He trained and trained and eventually earned one of the highest positions you can get.

He became a Navy Seal.

Emmett was honorably discharged after 8 years in the Navy because he had to come home and take care of his sick mother and teenage brother.

In between navigating the PTSD he came home with, keeping his brother on a safe and legal path, and making sure his mother takes her meds, Emmett makes some not so good decisions of his own.

Said not so good decisions result in a beautiful baby girl he named Genevieve. The light of his life and another reason he is determined to protect his family.

Fast forward 6 years. Emmett is now an established American Ninja Warrior, running his own gym in California and a girlfriend he is pretty sure is his soulmate.

So when Natasha gets recalled to Top Gun, for reasons neither are aware of just yet, Emmett jumps at the chance to see her for longer than a few days at a time.

(Hey, he used to be in the Navy, he is well aware of all the moving around.)

Join Emmett, Natasha and little Genevieve on an adventure that could either solidify or destroy them.

Because it's gonna be one hell of a ride no matter the outcome.

The new season of ANW started and I could resist, lol.

Now, I am NOT an athlete, much less someone who trains ANW. So all knowledge is based off of me watching this show for the past 7 or 8 years.

Also, I'm well aware some people don't like when kids are in fanfics. I, personally, am a fan when it's done right. And I'm always a sucker for a good found family / step parents who have helped raise and/or adopt the other’s child.

So Genevieve is adorable and 6 and I will fight anyone who says otherwise.
