12| The one I gave my heart to
Azuree's POV
September 12
I was over at Darryl's house with Eissa. His little sister was here so we set up a play date. His little sister is around the same age as Eissa so they were got along well. I looked at the time and it was almost four, I had to get Eissa home.
And about us breaking up... I got back with him about two days after our 'break up'. He sincerely apologized and I accepted. He even bought me a coach purse and YSL heels. Now I know that Darryl is buying my love but I'm a sucker for gifts.
Besides him getting me gifts, we had a long talk and he said that he would do better by stop putting his hands on me. It's all about communication and so far Darryl hasn't hit me yet.
"Baby we have to go now." I told Darryl and he pouted. He's so cute. I just love him.
"Right now?" I nodded as I got up from the couch. I grabbed some of Eissa's toys that were on the floor and put them in his bag. His little sister and Eissa are in the playroom which isn't far from the living room.
"Yup, I have to get him home. It's getting late."
"Okay. Will you be coming back?"
"No, because once I get in the house, I'm not leaving it again."
"You don't want to see me?"
"Nope." I joked but I guess he took it seriously because the next thing I know he's yelling at me. What is his problem? I thought Darryl said that he would change.
"Are you seeing someone else?!"
"No— what— no. I just said that I'm not coming back once I get inside the house. I just came back from vacation and I'm tired..." I said and chuckled nervously but that didn't work. It's like something went off in his head. Darryl grabbed my neck, pinning me against the wall. I thought he said that he was going to stop putting his hands on me. I can't believe that I trusted him. I gasped as my eyes widened in shock.
"You're seeing someone else! I know it Azuree— who is it?!"
"N-no I'm not!" I yelled out in fear. It started to get hard to breathe and my vision began to get cloudy. I can't feel my legs. "L-let go! Please!"
"Stop! You're hurting my sister!" I heard Eissa say and that's when he dropped my neck. I fell to the floor and coughed. If Eissa didn't come in I would've passed out. Probably died.
"Are you okay Zee? I'll tell momma on him." I nodded my head and quickly gathered our things. I picked up Eissa and we walked outside to my car.
"It's okay Zee." He said and kissed my cheek. He's so sweet. I buckled him in and got in the driver's side, driving off. I wiped my tears as I drove home. I can't believe he did that to me again. Maybe it was an accident, I mean I did get him mad. Maybe I deserved it...
I was a block away from the house when my phone pinged. I looked at it and saw a message from my mother.
Mommy 🩵- What time are you guys coming home?
We're pulling up now. Why? You smelt me you dog? 😭😭
Mommy 🩵- Azuree don't play with me 🖕🏾
I softly smiled and turned off my phone. I wiped my tears as I got out of my car and headed to the back to get Eissa. He was sleeping, thank god so he wouldn't tell Mommy or Momma what happened. I quickly took him to his room and laid him on his bed. I then went into my room and sat on my vanity. I looked at my neck and saw a bruise forming on my neck. The exact shape of his hand. I put my head down and cried. I can't believe he did that. I heard a knock on my door and I quickly sat up, applying makeup to my neck.
"Who is it?"
"It's Skai." I let out a sigh of relief and told her to come in. She closed the door and sat on my bed.
"I didn't hear you come in..."
"Y-yeah." I stuttered and wiped my tears.
"You know, I was just in Eissa's room, grabbing my charger and he told me that DDG grabbed your neck. He thought I was momma and he told me, but he didn't see me." I turned around and she gasped seeing the bruise on my neck. "Oh, my goodness Azuree. Why didn't you leave after the first time?" She helped me the first time and didn't tell my parents. She told me to leave but I didn't want to. My sister is my keeper and I knew she wouldn't tell anybody else.
If she knew that I broke up with him and then got back together, she would be so mad. Heated.
"Because I love him and I'm a grown woman. The first time was an accident, I did get him mad."
"And? That situation is getting out of hand for real. You get everyone mad and we don't put our hands on you Azuree. Just because he's your boyfriend doesn't make a difference." She said to me before leaving my room. I continued to cover up the bruise on my neck. I'm going to have that bruise for a while, maybe three weeks. I got up and headed to the bathroom. I grabbed a razor blade and began slitting my wrists. Darryl told me he would stop and he has, until today.
Once I was satisfied with my marks, I went into the cabinet and grabbed two pill bottles that had the MDMA's and Percocet's. That's what I need right now. I took five and I immediately felt the effects of the medication. I stumbled to my bed and laid flat on it.
I just cried... I didn't want my parents to find out or for Eissa to tell them. They're going to be so disappointed in me and I know King will beat him up. I sobbed and sobbed and sobbed until my eyes got heavy and closed.
Ughhh! I'm so fucked up!

Skai's POV
I headed to Eissa's room and saw that he was up, playing on his iPad. I knocked on his door and walked in, sitting on his bed. "Eis."
"Hi, Skai!"
"Hi, Papa. Don't tell anyone what you told me okay?"
"What did I say?"
"Well you didn't mean to tell me but you said that DDG grabbed Zee's neck and choked her."
"Oh yeah. I gotta tell momma so she can beat him up." He said and then got up from his bed. I stopped him and sat him back on his bed.
"No, you can't. Zee doesn't want us to tell them yet."
"Why not? She got hurt so mommy and momma has to protect her."
"I know that but Zee has a mind of her own. You can't save people that don't want to be saved." I told him and he nodded. I knew that he kind of didn't understand what I was saying but hopefully, he won't tell.
