"Hello"
"Don't open the packages!"
This was the second time this person warned me.
I was not going to listen to a random stranger who only shows up on a restricted caller ID, so I started to open a package, it was just a bundle of papers but, god knows what language it was written in. Never in my life had I seen scribblings like that. I just roughly went through it and placed it aside.

The other package I took to open was slightly heavier. I slowly teared the cover, put my hand in and took out something which had me jarred. "G-G-U-N!" I was holding a gun! I was astonished all alone in my room. I took a closer look at it, examining every inch of the thing I was holding. My body and mind forgot to coordinate when I realized it was a real one. I carefully placed it on top of the paper bundle and took the rest of the things out of that package, and as I expected the next thing which caught my eyes was a knife, and there was a- "A user guide?" Yes a user guide.

"How strange!" I thought as I emptied one of my drawers and carefully kept the two opened packages inside. The other two unopened packages were just left at the table as it is. I lied on the bed staring at the ceiling for at least half an hour, thinking about all the strange stuffs which happened, from the day I started to get the random messages to now, when I got a gun couriered with a user guide. I didn't know to whom I should say this, I didn't know what was happening around me and if this was all real.

I was sunk in my thoughts when I heard my father yell my name. I went downstairs and saw him ready to leave. I quickly got into his arms, and unknowingly tears started filling up my eyes. "Be safe, don't get into any trouble till I come back." He said. "Have a safe flight."
After he left I went to bed turning off my phone.

In the morning, getting ready for school, I saw the unopened packages on my table. My drawers were already full, so I went down to my father's room and put those on one of his drawer. My plan was to go meet my uncle after school, so I sent him a text about it and also ignored and muted all the other notifications. It was not like I could concentrate on the lessons so I was taking screenshots of the messages I got all along. As Ellen noticed me, I sent one of the screenshots to her phone, just to prove that I wasn't doing something stupid with my phone.

After School, I was walking to the cafe as my uncle asked me to meet him in there. Getting closer to the cafe, the thought about Ian too kept striking me. The streets were busy as usual, the sound from the traffic started bothering me. Meanwhile my uncle had been ringing me for quite a time. I stopped to take the phone out, and in passing I saw a lorry scorching towards someone, he looked rather distracted with his phone.

I thought I was going to witness a road accident in a few seconds as my body hadn't moved an inch although I felt like it was burning, and shaking.
"It's Ian- "
In no time, I discovered myself running towards him, my vision got blurry but I managed and took a hold of him, and moved towards the side although my body had lost its balance, the honking was loud, it was so close to my ear. I sensed the lorry passing by us with less than an inch gap. It just happened as a bolt from the blue.

We fell on the ground with a thud. My body was partially on Ian's, I saw blood dripping off his head, voices started surrounding my ear, I saw my arms fully bruised. Ian's grunting was the last thing I heard as sharp pain started numbing my head and I closed my eyes.
