'Can you hear?' she signed,
'The moon? It's silent' I replied. 'It doesn't make any sound, just like you.'
She smiled, 'Silent moon.' 'But, it talks, it talks to the people who'll listen.'
It was a gorgeous night sky, gorgeous, so was my mom.
Just as I was gazing at the moon, these memories replayed in my head, a small smile crept through my face, but every time what followed this smile was the despair. The phone buzzed making me abandoned these thoughts and walk into my room.
Ian Dawson
So, 3.00 pm tomorrow?
We'll come to the
Cafe.That way is easier.
I'll see you tomorrow then~
Cool.
P.S we'll be late.😂
I put my phone aside recalling how his number ended up on my phone.
-
"I'd like to take you there tomorrow."
A honking made us both turn, yes it was my father, Ian grabbed my phone dialed his number in, and ringed his phone.
"I'll text you later, but I'll not take a 'no'" He said jokingly and I was clearly surprised.-
Ellen picked up only at my third call,
"Are you done dolling up yourself? we are gonna be late!"
"Just 2 minutes, we'll be there."
"You've been saying it for 30 minutes." I whined and hung up.My father was happy to hear that I was invited for the small trip, but he only permitted if Ellen and Jason too were going with me, and Ian gladly agreed to it.
It was 40 passed 3 when the three of us rushed to the cafe, Ian was waiting inside close by the door, I introduced them to each other and Ian led us to the jeep we were going to ride in.
The park was about 10km away from the town. The drive was nothing special, Jason and Ian had a small talk and Ellen didn't stop asking about the 'guy at the cafe'. She kept curling her braids around her finger which made me notice her outfit. She wore a pink skirt and a white tee with cute accessories all over. she sure looked so girly, meanwhile, I wore a wide legged jean paired with a beige tee, I tied my hair into a messy bun leaving threads of hair fall on my face. We had opposite styles of course.'A great time' would be a dull way to describe what we were having, the rides we went on was fun as ever, no worries could catch me there and I was having my time for once and for all. After around an hour or two we decided to get a break and went into the snack bar, by then Jason and Ian completely got along, and even Ellen, gosh she is very easy to get close to.
"I never knew Athena was that brave!" Ellen said after Ian narrated you he story of us getting to know each other.
"That's right, she is scared of bugs, how could she have possibly stopped you from getting hit." Jason agreed, and i just huffed in reply. The sun went down and the park got cleared little by little signaling us that it's time to leave. The drive back to home was actually noisy, Jason and Ian were fighting over radio Chanels and Ellen wouldn't stop shipping Ian and me for which we held a straight face.
I was safely dropped home and warmly welcomed by my father as he was happy to see my overjoyed face. I told a him a little about the day and jumped on the bed recalling the day, it was full of fun and laughter, I scrolled through the plenty of pictures we clicked, most of them looked silly and it was in a while that I smiled so brightly. It was a day worthy of being called 'The best day of the year!' I thought and heard my father yelling out my name, I hurried downstairs not knowing that things already took a turn.
