It wasn't the alarm that woke me up in the morning, but, the noisy chores of my aunt.
I walked down the stairs rubbing my eyes and sat on the sofa as my head felt like it was carrying the the entire East-bore. "Morning Athena. Coffee's ready." I heard my aunt and went into the kitchen with some kind of joy surrounding me. "Thank you." I said and sat down near the counter. It has been some time since someone made me breakfast. The house looked clean and kind of like how it used to be when my mother- I was thinking as my eyes wandered all over the place and only then I spotted that the door to my fathers room was open. "NO- DID YOU OPEN DAD'S ROOM?!" I kind of yelled, and yes now hurricanes started to occupy my head. "Relax, I just dusted and swept it! God knows how long a broom hadn't touched that place-" And before she could say anything else the door bell started ringing.
I ran to the door, knowing who was ringing. I recalled everything I should tell my uncle while opening the door. He slowly made his way to the hall and took his seat.
"How are you feeling? Are your wounds healed?"
"Ireceivedsomedocumentsgunknifeuserguidenowitsmissingbutihavetwomorepackagesinmyfathetsroom-"
"Slow down Athena, I can't understand a word you are saying." He barked.
"Give me a minute, I'll bring down my phone." I went up to to my room and brought the phone. I soon sat near him on the floor, I could hear his loud sigh but that was not what's important."First, relax, I'll only go to the station after I hear you out so, speak in a way I understand." He said. I took a deep breath and before starting I remembered that I had to treat my guest well. "Marie!! Coffee for uncle please." I said and turned only to see the surprised look on my uncle face. "Oh, my dad's sister is here-" I soon explained and got into the topic. "-so, I you already know about the messages I've been getting on late nights... two days ago I received four packages, I already opened two and there was some documents in one , and the other one, it had a gun and a pocket knife with a-"
"Athena!" He stopped me. "What?" I asked He just kept looking at me and I knew what he was thinking. "I'm not lying-" of course he was thinking that I was lying so I hurried into my father's room, the drawer was already half opened, and the packages I tried to protect was also gone. Why do I feel like I was ready for this?! "Marie! Marie! Did you open the drawer??" I yelled and saw my uncle standing near the door. What's with that look, I just can't stand those eyes which looks me with pity. I thought and said "Please, please I'm not lying, only if you listen to me-" I wiped the tears rolling down my face and sat myself on the floor. He calmly walked towards me and said. "Snap out of it, you are the only person home, and Marie- Marie was your mother. So please."
Hearing this only made my body go weak, my mind go blank, I could hear my heart pound and I couldn't just stop sobbing.Did the world just stop? Why do I feel like I'm the one at fault?
Don't tell me everything around me isn't real, don't tell me that I'm a crazy person, Don't make me doubt my own self, I'm aware of myself.
I felt something heavy piling up on me, it was more like I couldn't feel anymore...and it all blacked out once again.
