《6:54 p.m. Hawkins High-School, Gymnasium》

It was the day of the game and Will, El, Dustin, Suzie and Max were already there.

"So he's apologizing to El tonight?" Max nodded "I told him Will first but he just wouldn't listen."

Dustin nodded "You know Mike, he only listens to what he wants to hear" Max nodded as they sat down.

The Gymnasium was loud, the band playing, people talking, and it was just a whole bunch of commotion.

"Do you think Mike is going to come tonight?" El asked Will and Will shrugged "I don't know."

Will turned towards the Gymnasium doors and saw Mike coming through, he sighed once Mike saw them and smiled making his way over.

"Hey guys!" Mike exclaimed and Dustin and Max smiled, waving, Will turned away and El slightly waved.

He walked over and sat down next to El, turning to her and smiling, "How have you been?" Mike asked.

"I've been okay" El said and Mike smiled "Good, um I was wondering, maybe after the game we can talk?"

El rose her brow and nodded slowly "Sure" Mike smiled and then the band got louder everyone began to cheer as the basketball team came out.

Everyone cheered including the party for Lucas as they lined up in the middle to say hi to the crowd around them.

"Go Lucas!" Dustin and Max yelled as they practically flew out of their seats, Will cheered as well smiling at how ridiculous his friends were being.

El cheered and so did Mike only slightly though, "Why do you wanna talk Mike?" El asked and Mike turned to her not knowing what to say.

"Uh, you know, about our break" El sighed "Mike, we're on a break for a reason, I hope you know that right?"

Mike nodded "Yes but, I know that we can try again, I'm so sorry I broke your trust but, I wanna start over, I wanna be with you..."

El looked into Mike's eyes contemplating as the Gymnasium got loud with everyone cheering as the game began.

"I'll give you another try Mike, I wanna be with you too" Will couldn't help but look over at the two after hearing this.

El told him she doesn't think she wants to be with Mike! So what the hell is this!?

Mike took El's hand in his and she smiled at him "So, can we be back together now?" El chuckled a bit "Sure Mike."

They both leaned into eachother and kissed, Will couldn't believe the sight, El said she didn't think she wanted Mike.

"She only thought that though" a voice in the back of Will's head spoke to him, he rolled his eyes.

It was true, she only said she didn't think she wanted to get back with Mike, maybe she thought about it and once again, Mike and El were back together.

Will turned away, great, if he were to be friends with Mike again, he'd go back to being his bestfriend, nothing more.

Sure that was good enough but Will wanted to be Mike's so bad it was almost painful! He had been in love with Mike for God knows how long!?
