《8:05 a.m. The Byers' Residents》

The next day when Will got up for school he wondered if Mike was going to meet him at his house or if he was going to go to El's first

He wanted to ride with Mike today but he only assumed that since Mike was head over heals for the new girl that he would ride with her today.

He wanted to think other wise but he just couldn't get the thought out of his head now, he'd be the best man at Mike and El's wedding, he'd be the "uncle" to their children, he'd but the third wheel on every occasion!

Maybe he was thinking too far ahead...but he didn't care cause in his mind it was all going to be true, Mike and El would have a happily ever after and Will? He would die alone.

Will decided to push these thoughts to the way back of his brain, he couldn't be thinking about this right now he had to get ready.

Once he finished he left the house and got on his bike, he smiled when he saw Dustin and Lucas ride over, "Hey wheres Mike?" Dustin asked and Will rolled his eyes shrugging.

"Oh I don't know, probably with El" Dustin snickered and so did Lucas "Looks like someone is jealous!"

Will blushed and shook his head quickly "i am not jealous!" Lucas and Dustin gave each other knowing looks and sighed "Alright let's just ride with out him then" Will sighed and rode over.

Once they got to school after Max accompanied them on their journey they could see Mike and El at the front of the school chatting and giggling.

Will felt that same jealousy boil up inside of him at the sight of El and Mike playing like this together.

"I see you two are getting along great" Max nudged Mike in the side and smirked making Mike blush and roll his eyes at her, Will looked to Mike's right and saw that El was also blushing.

"So you ditched us to ride with El? You always ride with me Mike" Mike laughed as Will said that "Exactly, I've been riding with you since we could ride a bike! I had to switch it up a bit, and besides, I think I'm totally working my magic on her."

Mike wiggled his eyes brows making Will smile a bit, but he dropped it once he noticed, he was mad right now, mad at Mike and El.

Mike noticed and side draping his arm over Will's shoulder as the bell rang and they walked into the the school building. "Look, I'm sorry, I'll ride with you tomorrow okay?" Will turned and looked up at Mike sighing and nodding his head.

"You better" Mike nodded and smiled softly pulling Will just a bit closer "I will...pretty boy" Will's face immediately heated up and he turned to look up at Mike.

Mike seeing the boys flustered face began to burst out into a fit of laughter "Why do you keep doing that!?" Mike laughed "Cause It's funny seeing how flustered you get" Will turned way and pushed Mike.

"Stop it!" Mike laughed a little more, Soon enough Mike had gotten Will to his first period "Alright, see you lat-" Mike stopped his sentence and softened his eyes when he saw El walking over.

"Hello!" She said and Will smiled aa big as he could, just cause he was jealous didn't mean he was going to be rude to the girl, he's not like that

"Is this your first period?" Mike asked the girl and she nodded, Mike turned to Will and smiled "Looks like you have the greatest girl ever in your first period" Mike turned to El with a snarky smile as she blushed.

Will bit his lip holding back his pain and smiling "Yep, looks like I do" El smiled at Will as Mike pushed the both of them through the door "See you guys later!" El and Will turned to Mike and smiled before going in the back and sitting down.

After the teacher embarrassingly introduced El to the class she began "I think Mike is really cool..." El said turning to Will and Will turned back to her smiling a bit.

"Yea, I think he is too" Her face turned a bit red as she turned away and then back to her desk "You and him are best friends, right?" Will nodded "Yea, we've been best friends for a while now"

Jane smiled "That's very nice, you're lucky to have a friend like Mike, he's very funny, smart,-" Will chuckle a bit when she says smart "He can be dumb sometimes" El chuckled "Yea, I've only known him for 2 days and he is a little dumb, but he's still smart."

Will smiled at her as she sighed "Well...I just wanted to ask, do you think he'd like a girl like me?" She blushed and Will sighed turning away and then back to her "Y-Yea, he'd probably date a girl like you...you're very pretty"

"Much prettier then I could ever be..." Will said in his mind as Jane smiled "You're very nice Will, d-do you think I'd have a chance with him?"

With a smile Will took a deep breath, he had liked Mike for as long as he could remember, but with the world they lived in, any fantasy about Mike and Will would just have to stay a fantasy...

"Yea, you have a chance with him" She squealed a bit making Will chuckle, he was hurt, very hurt, and still very, very, jealous, but he should be happy for the both of them.

Happy for El and happy for Mike, he thought about what he was thinking about this morning, if he had to be the best man at their wedding, then sure, he'd be it, he's in love with Mike, so he'll stand by him till the day he dies.
