Chapter 13: The Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man

Peter woke up a bit more earlier than usual on this Friday morning to patrol before school. He stopped some bike thief's and an almost bank robbery.

Karen informs him that last night a teenage boy named Charles Ray died and he had a ghost carving. Now the ghost can mean a lot of things like the paranormal or...Halloween. Halloween is tomorrow and everyone's getting ready for it. 

Him and his friends already have their costumes and working wands. The topic has been through the schools hallways and even on the streets. He heard it on his patrol and now as he's walking the hallways to go to class.

"Holy shit, Mirrikh is striking on Halloween" Peter realizes.

"What?" Ned whispers from besides him in their first period class.

"The clock, the ghost, tomorrow is Halloween and it's his last day before he leaves. He has something planned" Peter points out.

"And he still hasn't gone after you" Ned gasps.

"Exactly" Peter nods.

"Boys! Pay attention unless you want detention before Halloween" their teacher interrupts.

But there was that word again, Halloween.

What once was a spooky celebration to go trick or treating or go to a party is now sending fear through Peter and Ned. Whatever Mirrikh has planned is going to be horrifying.

"Wait but you can't skip out on Flashs party! We designed these wands!" Ned reminds him after Peter explains more to Ned and tells Mj during their lunch period.

"I'll still go, I'll just have my suit on underneath. The sleeves are pretty big so it'll cover my hands and the outfit is practically a robe covering my feet" Peter assures.

"Then what are you going to do about Mirrikh?" Mj asks.

"Wade and Matt have been going in the underworld to find more information but they think I don't know that. I'll call them later and drop hints about tomorrow and hopefully they question people about it and get some new info. I'll go to the party and stay for a few before leaving and haunting down Mirrikh" Peter plans out.

"The party starts at seven so you'll have an hour until you ditch" Mj informs.

"That's plenty of time to scare Flash" Peter confirms.

"Can I please be your guy in the chair then? I don't think this is smart if you go after him alone" Ned pleads.

"I'll have Karen with me" Peter assures.

"This is like a death wish. Ned and I will be on FaceTime with you and if you don't pick up, he's hacking Karen" Mj warns.

"Ok, I'll FaceTime you guys" Peter relents.

"I still don't like this, I have a bad feeling" Ned claims.

"You can thank Weasel, he basically double jinxed me yesterday" Peter tattles. "It'll be alright, I got you guys and Karen."

Peter is perched up on a rooftop. He's been patrolling ever since school got let out. He called Wade and Matt earlier to tell them about what he theorized and holy shit, for two vigilantes they sure do act suspicious when they're doing something.

Peter doesn't rat them out though. He genuinely needs their help if they won't bring him to the underworld anymore.

"Peter, you've been perched on this rooftop for thirty minutes" Karen interrupts.
