CHAPTER NINE: party guessed

ᝒ𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓱𝓾𝓷𝓽𝓮𝓻'𝓼 𝓱𝓸𝓷𝓸𝓻ᝓ

EREBUS ARGENT HAD NOT GONE HOME. Victoria would tell uncle Chris, and his grandfather. And he would be in so much more trouble. It would be better to not go home. To let everyone deal with all this.

"Erebus, you need to go home," Scott tell him, realizing, that he shouldn't have allowed for Erebus to follow him and Derek to Derek's new hide out.

But, Derek didn't say anything about it.

Erebus looks up at Scott, hesitating.

"He can't," Derek answered, looking at the quiet boy.

Scott turned to Derek, as if Derek was the crazy one. "He can't? Why can't he?"

"Because I helped you," Erebus stated, he rubbed at his forehead. "And if Victoria tells Chris and Allison? Maybe, I could- maybe it would be fine. But if she tells Gerard?"

"You can stay at my house," Scott says. As if it was clear that was the solution.

"I'm saying we need a new plan, because next time, one of us is going to be too hurt to heal." Derek tells Scott, picking up on their earlier conversation.

Scott sighs. "Ugh, I get it-- we can't save Jackson."

"We can't seem to kill him, either. I've seen a lot of things, Scott. I've never seen anything like this. Every new moon's just gonna make him stronger."

"But how do we stop him?" Scott asked.

"I don't know. I don't even know if we can."

"Maybe we should just let the Argents handle it..." Scott says.

"I'm the one who turned him. It's my fault."

"Yeah, but you didn't turn him into this! I mean, this happened because of something in his past, right?"

Derek scoffs. "That's a legend in a book. It's not that simple."

"Or maybe because he's an abusive dick, you know he hits, Lydia, right?"

"What do you mean? What aren't you telling me?"

"Why do you think I'm always keeping something from you?"

"Because you always are keeping something from me!"
