"So, you're also a STEM student?" I inquired as I focused on driving.

"Yes," he simply replied. We were on our way to school, and I couldn't help but smile internally, knowing he would be in the same class as me.

Finally, we arrived at our destination, William Technological High School.

"Thank you for the ride," he said before leaving me in the car. Wow, what a cold shoulder he gave me.

As I walked through the hallway, literally everyone's eyes were on me. I couldn't help it—I was undeniably good-looking. "Cedie, my man!" Xyr called out, putting his arm on my shoulder.

"Where are the other two?" I asked.

"Wow, I'm here with you, and you're searching for other men? Really hurtful, Cedie!" he fake cried. What an idiot!

I glared at him as he chuckled. "They're on their way here. You know how Trev always comes late!"

We continued walking, unconcerned by the gazes following us everywhere. Being famous had its perks.

A few minutes later, the class had begun, and I sat in a random chair, not spotting Liam anywhere. He was probably still talking to the teachers at the faculty.

After a while, Mr. Reyes entered with Liam following him. "Good morning, class, and welcome back. Today, we have a transfer student..." he glanced at Liam.

"My name is Liam Angeles. Nice to meet you all," he said simply. I could see girls looking at him with admiration. How dare they smile and stare at Liam like that? Those fuckers!

"You can sit beside Miss Tolentino, the girl with the ponytail," Mr. Reyes instructed.

During the lecture and topic introduction, I couldn't help but steal glances at Liam, who was attentively following the lesson.

He looked quite charming in that uniform—what was I even thinking, Cedric!

After the lengthy lecture, lunchtime finally arrived, my favorite subject!

"So, Liam, want to grab lunch with me?"

"Hey, Liam, can I have your number?" they asked shamelessly. Did they have no shame? Asking Liam so boldly, huh? I walked over, put my arm around Liam, and smirked at the girls.

"Sorry, he's having lunch with me," I winked at them, causing some to giggle at my handsomeness (yes, I was aware) and others to look annoyed.

"Come on, Cedric, find another person to bully; don't even think about messing with Liam here!" Sasha glared at me. This girl really got on my nerves. I pulled Liam, making him flinch. "Come on!" I held his wrist, leading the way to the cafeteria.

"Hey, let go of me, you!" Did he just swear at me? I glanced at him, shocked. "Did you just use that language against me?" I glared back.

"What if I did? Don't be so full of yourself, Alejandro. Maybe we're step-brothers, but that doesn't mean we have to act like brothers here!" Wow, my little lion was showing his attitude.

I moved closer, grabbing his collar, intending to give my little lion a scare. "Know your place here, Liam... You don't know me in this setting!"

"I know you, Alejandro. You're someone with a bad reputation who's frequently in detention and barely passes exams. I'm not scared of a dog who only knows how to bark." He spoke before leaving me. Did he just called me a dog?

Wow, did he transform into someone else? Where did the innocent, gentle guy I met go? Never judge a book by its cover.
