taylor sat on her couch, tears streaming down her face as she clutched her phone. she couldn't believe what had just happened. joe, the man she thought she would spend the rest of her life with, had cheated on her. her heart ached, and she felt utterly lost.
in her moment of despair, she found herself dialing travis's number. she hadn't planned on calling him, but he was the first person who came to mind. they had become close over the past few months, and she knew she could trust him.
"hey, taylor," travis answered, his voice warm and comforting. "what's going on?"
"travis," she sobbed, struggling to get the words out. "joe... he cheated on me. i just found out."
there was a pause on the other end of the line, and then travis's voice came through, filled with concern. "oh, taylor, i'm so sorry. are you okay? where are you?"
"i'm at home," she replied, wiping away her tears. "i don't know what to do. i feel so broken."
"stay right there," travis said firmly. "i'm coming over. you don't have to go through this alone."
within half an hour, travis was at her door. he pulled her into a tight hug as soon as she opened it, letting her cry into his shoulder. "it's going to be okay, taylor. i'm here for you."
they sat on the couch together, taylor's head resting on travis's shoulder as she told him everything. he listened patiently, offering words of comfort and understanding. he didn't try to fix things or offer solutions; he was just there for her, and that made all the difference.
as the night went on, taylor began to feel a glimmer of hope. she realized that she wasn't as alone
