"Haven't you had enough, Hideki?"
A handsome man clad in a dark suit with slicked back hair took taunting steps around the fallen boy. Hideki's katana shone in the moonlight that was leaking through the small window above.
The dark haired boy silently winced using his arms to support himself as he got up. His feet were unable to support him in standing up; in the process of doing so he stumbled, but the man's gloved hand broke his fall.
"Answer me. Why aren't you giving up?" Asked the man whos blood stained face shone in the silver moonlight.
The blue-eyed boy trembled. The moonlight reflected off of the man's pitch black hair, making him look frighteningly transcendent.
Hideki knew that the kind expression was merely a farce. But the man treated him better than he would treat most people. The boy glanced to his side- his opponent for today, who was lying on the floor, bleeding to death, I would've been able to go into the garden outside... but such a difficult opponent, how was I supposed to win? Hideki glanced up at him, He killed him like it was nothing...
Hideki was useful to the man, and that's why he was protected. The boy knew that well.
"Hideki," The man called out, his low and cold voice echoing through the room, "Answer me."
"I want to go back."
"'Go back'?" The man questioned, a bit annoyed at the boy's rebellious statement. "The outside world is in shambles. You're better off here. In a few years time everything will go to waste, there's no point-"
"I don't care!"
A resounding slap echoed through the room. Hideki, taken aback by the sudden strike, held a hand to his cheek.
"Haven't I told you to not interrupt me while I'm speaking?" The man sighed. "Know your place."
The man exited the room, and a few seconds later some guards entered the room, escorting him to his cell.
The cell, with white walls and floor, made him irritated, especially when all the lights were on. The monotony made him sick. That's why he stayed in that room in darkness, even if he could still see it clearly due to his feline-like eyes. He had a bed, but he chose to sleep on the floor, refusing to use any commodities given to him- just in case they were taken from him without any warning.
The desk and chair were bolted to the floor. He had a sink, but no mirror. There was a toilet in the corner, separated by a barrier. A surveillance camera was in the other corner. The door to his spacious cell was metal, making sure that he wouldn't get out once he was inside.
His nose was clotted with blood, so he resorted to breathing through his mouth. His white shirt was stained with dried red, some from a few days ago, some from a few hours ago.
Hideki had a small rectangular window, a very small one, high up on the wall, near the ceiling. That rectangular window gave him a bit of sanity. It allowed him to see the outside world, even if it was just the sky.
I'll never hide again. I could've went with them, hand in hand.
An unexpected thought, Hideki had asumed that he had managed to suppress anything related to his parent's death. As his eyes wandered the room, his attention was grabbed by the sudden light shining from small screen attached just above the desk. He approached the calendar. It had been some time since he had last crossed off the days. He counted back.
It's been two years...
Two?
And I haven't been found?
Maybe Jun was telling the truth.
Hideki's expression tensed, he balled his hands into fists. The silence of his room doing nothing to help the doubt and the thoughts of the sweet release of giving up. But he couldn't; it would be equal to voluntarily forfeiting the little humanity left inside of him.
I have nothing left outside. Why do I want to still leave?
The boy, sighed at this, a small smile on his face. A bitter, solemn smile, but a smile nonetheless.
I guess I still have Uncle Aizawa.
