Cam...

Working was not on Cam's mind. Sitting at his desk, all he could think of was Scarlet. Her smile, big heart, and that daft sense of humour had him smitten. He wanted her to be his in all ways. Cam wanted to fix her heart and make a good life for Scarlet. He had never met anyone like her. She makes him smile even when she's hurting, not wanting anyone to feel as down as she is.

Although they had only started being official recently, he wanted more. Cam had been looking at rings and places Scarlet would love to visit for their honeymoon. He was also looking at houses for them. Maybe he was overcompensating for what he caused, but that did not stop him. Cam wanted to give her the world.

As he was deep in thought, his intercom buzzed.

"Sir, a Scarlet Dawson is here for you. She has no appointment but insists you will see her."

"Yes, let her in. She is always welcome." He replied.

Not long after, there was a small knock on his door.

"Come in."

Scarlet's head popped around the door.

"Is this, ok?" She asked.

"Of course. You don't have to knock. I always have time for you, babe."

Scarlet walked in, then. Cam couldn't help noticing how her flowing red summer dress clung to her the curves of her breasts and hips.

He got up from his chair and took her in his arms, kissing her deeply.

Before things got to heated, Scarlet gently pushed his chest.

"East tiger. I need your advice before any of that." Scarlet said while smiling up at him with her cheeks flushed and lips swollen.

"Come, sit. Talk to me, Miss Dawson." He replied with a little smirk.

Scarlet tells him of her ideas for the store. Cam listens, taking everything in.

"That sounds pretty amazing. You have it all figured out. I can give you my solicitors details. He will be thorough. How much of a loan are you interested in Scarlet?"

"What?" She was shocked at that.

"I do not want a loan, Cam. I just wanted to run this by you, as I value your opinion."

"I'm so sorry, Scarlet, I should have known. It's just that's how everyone starts off before asking me to loan them. I would have helped you without a doubt if that is what you wanted. I know you're not like the others."

"Yes, you should have known. I have the money, and what I do not have Abbigale is adding. I would never ask you for anything. If I can't do it myself, then I won't do it at all."

"Again, I am sorry. But remember me if you need an investor. The boutique sounds like a sound investment. No favours, just me investing."

"I will keep that in mind. Thank you."

Cam then pulled Scarlet to him over the desk, kissing her again, knocking everything flying.

"Cam!" Scarlet complains, but then she lets him kiss her, heatedly. Then he takes her on his desk, with urgency.

"I love you, Scar." He whispers in her ear after. Scarlet freezes, and Cam realises what he said and instantly regrets it.

"I need to go." Scarlet gets up and fixed her underwear and dress. Not even bothering to go to the bathroom to clean up.

She stops at the door.

"Cam, I am really fond of you. I just can't. Not yet. Please give me time."

Scarlet then walks out, and Cam realises he has rushed things and kicks himself internally.
