The morning sun filtered through the tinted windows of Javier's car as we made our way to his agency. I glanced at Javier, his profile calm and focused as he drove. Today marked the beginning of my involvement in his plans for a new law department within the agency. Javier had also promised to show me my new office and introduce me to some of the team members.
As we pulled up to the modern building, Javier guided me inside with a confident stride. The bustling atmosphere of the agency greeted us, filled with the quiet hum of productivity. Javier led me through the familiar corridors to a section of the building that housed the developing law department.
"This will be your office," Javier announced proudly, holding the door open for me.
I stepped inside, taking in the spacious and well-appointed room. A desk faced the window, offering a view of the city skyline. "It's perfect," I murmured, turning to face Javier with a grateful smile.
He leaned against the door frame, his gaze softening as it met mine. "I'm glad you like it. I had one near my office but it's a lot smaller, so I had to choose between your comfort or having you close."
I blushed at his comment. "Distance won't be the problem."
He smiled warmly before glancing at his watch. "I have a few things to take care of from my office. Will you be okay here for a while?"
I nodded, already feeling at ease in the new environment. "Yes, I'll be fine. Take your time."
Javier nodded and left, closing the door behind him. I settled into my chair, admiring the view and contemplating the exciting possibilities ahead. Soon, there was a knock on the door, breaking my reverie.
"Come in," I called out, expecting Javier.
The door opened, revealing a young man with a confident smile. "Hi, I saw you coming here. I'm Carlos," he introduced himself, stepping into the room. "This was my past office."
Recognition flickered in my mind as I remembered the name from a distant memory—the first time I had stayed over at Javier's place, overhearing Javier's heated phone conversation with a certain Carlos.
"Nice to meet you, Carlos, I'm Madison," I greeted him warmly, noting his charming demeanor.
Carlos leaned casually with his hands on the table, his gaze lingering on me with a hint of flirtation. "So, are you new here?"
"Yes, I'll be working as a laywer for Peña's Agency," I answered smiling.
I knew perfectly that he was trying to flirt with me, I just found it funny. "Well my office its at the end of the hallway, we will be seeing each other quite a lot," his eyes flickered for a second looking to my body and quicky returning to my eyes. "Would you like to go out for some drinks tonight?"
