The clock struck four, signaling the appointed time for my meeting with Javier Peña. Taking a deep breath to steel myself, I approached his office door and knocked gently. A voice from inside called for me to come in, and with a determined stride, I pushed open the door and stepped into the room.
Javier was sitting at his desk, engrossed in some paperwork. As soon as I entered, he lifted his gaze, his eyes trailing down my figure before meeting my eyes. I ignored the assessing look and made my way to the chair in front of his desk, shedding my suit jacket and draping it over the back of the chair.
"Nice outfit, Madison," Javier remarked, his tone dripping with casual charm. "My new laywers have a really good taste."
I brushed off his comment, refusing to engage in his flirtatious banter. Instead, I pulled a carpet out of my work bag and spread it over the table, laying out the documents and papers we would need for our discussion. I launched into a detailed explanation of our needs to facilitate his expansion into Europe, addressing each point with precision and clarity.
"We need to ensure that all legal aspects are in place to facilitate your expansion into Europe," I began, my voice steady despite the frustration simmering beneath the surface. "This includes navigating the complexities of international property law, negotiating with potential partners, and ensuring compliance with European regulations."
Javier's gaze flickered towards me, his eyes lingering for a moment before darting away. It was clear he was only half-listening, his attention divided between me and whatever thoughts were swirling around in his mind.
"Madison," he interrupted, his voice smooth and velvety. "You're as captivating as ever, but let's cut to the chase, shall we?," he leaned back in his chair, his posture relaxed as he regarded me with a playful glint in his eyes.
I bristled at his casual demeanor, my frustration bubbling to the surface. "This is serious business, Mr. Peña," I retorted, my tone sharp. "If you're not going to take it seriously, then I suggest we end this meeting right now."
Javier's expression softened slightly, a hint of amusement dancing in his eyes. "Now, now, Madison, there's no need to be so uptight," he chided gently, his tone teasing. "I'm simply trying to lighten the mood. You lawyers are always so serious."
I resisted the urge to roll my eyes, forcing myself to maintain my professional facade. "This is not a joking matter, Mr. Peña," I replied firmly. "We have a lot of ground to cover, and I expect your full attention."
Javier's smile widened, his charm radiating off him in waves. "Of course, Madison," he said, his voice dripping with sincerity. Javier's expression shifted, his eyes narrowing slightly. "But who said I wasn't listening?," he replied smoothly, his voice tinged with amusement. With a practiced ease, he summarized everything I had said, demonstrating that he had indeed been paying attention.
Javier stood up and rounded the table, positioning himself beside my chair. His proximity sent a shiver down my spine, and I resisted the urge to lean away from him. With one hand resting on the back of my chair and the other on the papers spread out before us, he leaned in close, his breath warm against my ear.
As he spoke, his words were laced with charm and professionalism, a potent combination that made it difficult for me to focus. I struggled to maintain my composure, my frustration giving way to a simmering anger at his blatant attempts to seduce me.
But as Javier continued to press his case, a rebellious thought crossed my mind. If he wanted to play games, then I could play along.
With a subtle shift in my posture, I leaned closer to him, allowing our bodies to brush against each other ever so slightly. I watched with satisfaction as a flicker of surprise flashed across his face, his facade momentarily faltering.
I took his hand out of the papers so that I could point at them. "This is the part thst you need to cover, this is the expected amount," I clarified to him.
"Okay but my team gathered some information before the meeting and the numbers are different, take a look," he said and went to his chair again, to look at his computer.
Decided, I stood up and went over to his side. "This is wrong," I pointed at the monitor, bending a little so that I could see better the screen.
"I can't see with you in the middle," he put his hand on both sides of my legs, and got them closer to him making me sit on his lap. "Better. You were saying?"
I bit my cheeks inside of my mouth, trying to contain my gains of kicking his face and running away from the office. "See this?," he nodded. "This is supposed to be California, it's the most populated state, they messed up and put here the quantity that Texas makes."
His hands on my waist were just driving me crazy, in the worst way possible. I tried to fix my skirt by crossing my legs, and taking the change to accomodate myself, pressing my butt to Javier's now noticeable bulge.
"You really look deeply every detail," he commented with his low husky voice. "You could help me review the other documents they sent me to see if they are okay."
I turned my face to face him, I could see that he was nervous, so my plan was working. As I was over his lap, I was looking him from a higher position, so I put mi fingers below his chin and lifted it up, seing how he swallowed saliva as his muscles tensioned.
"That's not my work Mr. Peña, but my coworker Mark would be really happy to help you with that, as he is the one that reviews all of our documents," I smiled at him and winked an eye to him, just as he always does.
After this, I just stood up, leaving Javier in the same position, "Do you have any further questions Mr. Peña?," I asked while gathering all of my documents from the table. Javier was just looking at me without saying a word. "I guess that I explained everything really well, we will keep in touch, I'll send you more details via email," I took my work bag. "Have a great afternoon."
I left the office, leaving it open, and got inside of the elevator. Once the elevator doors closed, my knees colapsed and I just sat on the floor, trying to recover from the tension.
What have I just done? Was that really me? But it actually worked, for the first time I left Javier speechless, I surpased his armor, I left him defenseless.
