Love or Lie?

A new Friend

-Pacifica's Pov-

I quickly turned around to look at the person I ran into. It was girl that looked just like that boy. Same hair (but longer) with the white streak, same eye color, same amulet (tho hers was a hair clipper) and similar colthing. I blushed instantly out of embarressment and saw and coffee spilled over my and her clothes. I said:"Oh I'm so sorry! I-I...","Oh no problem, it looks like the coffee got only on my blazer." The girl interrupted me. In fact, most of the coffee landed on me.

I looked up again, she said:"You look much worse, I should apologize to you." and chuckled. I chuckled aswell and said:"Yeah, right. Look, I'm really sorry about this but there was this strange boy that scared me and I can't really explain this...","Oh, that's my brother. Old Dipping Sauce is a grumpy cat, my apologies if he scared you." She said and interrupted me once more. She then gave me her hand and said:"By the way my name is Mabel, Mabel Pines.","My name is Pacifica Northwest and Pines? Like in richest family in town Pines?" I shook her hand asked. Mabel answered:"Yes, exactly. My brother and I moved in with our great umcle a couple of years ago.","Oh okay. Since I spilled your coffee allow me please to replace it." I said. Mabel smiled and said:"I would be honored but first I get you some new clothes. You can't walk around like that.","Oh you don't need to do that, it was my fault after all." I said. Mabel chuckled and said:"But I want to. You buy me a new coffee and in return I get you clean clothes, deal?", I gave up and said:"Deal.".

Mabel took her blazer off and walked to her brother to give it to him and she said something to him which I couldn't understand. She wore a blue blouse and a black vest under the blazer. She also wore a black skirt and black high heels. Mabel came back, took my hand dragged me to the next next boutique. I was looking for some pants and a shirt, just for something simple. Then Mabel came to me with a red knee length dress, she asked:"How about that?","Well, dresses aren't usually my thing but I guess I could try it on." I answered and Mabel handed it to me. I went into changing room to try it on. I walked out and asked Mabel:"What do you think?","Absolutly beautiful." She answered astonished. I blushed slightly and looked away, Mabel said:"Now, take your clothes and let's go to the cash register.","Oh, uh-huh." I mumbled still a little bit blushing. After Mabel paid we put my clothes in a bag from the store and left. I asked her:"Can I ask you something?","Sure, anything." She answered joyfully. I then asked:"Why are you doing this for me? You don't even know me.","Well, I just like to help people. Also I wasn't paying that much attention myself." Mabel answered and chuckled. I chuckled too and we made to the coffee shop.

"Hey, wanna drink a coffee here with me? I could use one too." I asked and Mabel answered:"Yeah, sure. Perhaps then I get to know you atleast a little bit.","Great." I said smiling. We went inside, ordered and sat down. Mabel asked:"So, you're new here in town? I have never seen you before.","Well I'm staying over the summer here with my cousin Gideon." I answered. Mabel then asked:"Gideon? Like Gideon Gleeful?","Yes, you know him?" I asked back. "Not that well, we go to the same school." She answered and then asked:"What are your hobbies?","Oh I like to draw, going for a stroll and I like to play video games. What are yours?" I said. "Actually pretty much the same, except drawing. I'm terrible at that, but I'm really good at playing piano and I like gardening." She said. "That's sounds really interesting, perhaps you could give me piano lesson one day." I said. "Only if you give me a drawing lesson." Mabel responded and we laughed a bit.

We finished our coffees and left the coffee shop. I said:"It was really nice with you but I gotta go, have to pick some stuff for my aunt.", I showed her the list. Mabel said:"I see, I also think it was really nice with you.","Alright, bye." I said but Mabel grabbed my arm and said:"Wait a second.", she wrote something on my arm, I began blushing once again. "What are you doing?" I asked. "Giving you my number, so we can stay in touch." She answered. Once she was done I said:"Well you could have written it on the list.", Mabel was silent for a couple of seconds, her face was priceless. I then said:"It's okay tho, thank you. I will text you later.","Oh okay. We'll text later, bye." She said. "Yeah, bye." I said amused.

After that I drove to the supermarket to buy the groceries. I got a shopping cart and looked for everything on the list. I got everything except cookies. As I was looking for cookies I saw a familiar girl. She had magenta hair, wore a blue top, leggings and red heels. I approched her and asked:"Tiffany? Is that you?","Pacifica?" She asked and turned around. We hugged eachother and I said:"It's so great to see you again.","It really is. How long are you going stay here in Reverse Falls?" Tiffany asked. We let eachother go and I answered:"For the entire summer.","Great an- wait a second, whos number do you got on your arm?" She asked curiously. I felt my cheeks going warm again and answered:"Mabel Pines.","No way...you got the number of the most popular girl in the town?" She asked in disbelieve. "Yeah, I accidently bumped into her and we drank coffee together." I answered and Tiffany asked:"And she gave you her number just like that?","Yes, she seems to like me and I think I like her too." I answered. Tiffany immediately put on a smug smile and asked:"Oh, you two like eachother?","Just as friends." I said rolling my eyes and blushing. Tiffany said that she had to go and I continued my quest to find cookies. I found them and went to the cash register and paid for everyting. I loaded everything in the golf cart and drove back to the Mystery Shack.

Once I arrived I brought everything inside. Aunt Susan noticed the dress and said:"Wow, look at you. You look so pretty in this dress.","Thank you." I said. Susan asked me:"But how come you bought a dress? These aren't usually your type.","Well long story short, I accidently ran into a girl and got coffee spilled over my clothes and the girl offered me to get me something clean if replace her coffee." I answered. Aunt Susan said:"Aww, that's really nice of her.","Yeah, she also gave me her number." I said showing my arm. Susan said:"That's really good that you make new friends.","Yes, she even is really popular. It's Mabel Pines." I said. Susan's smile quickly disappeared and she closer to me and whispered:"Don't let your uncle know this. He and the Pines have some sort of rivally going on. Apparently they have also a tourist attraction.","Oh, okay." I whispered back. "Don't worry, this will be our secret." Susan whispered and winked. "Thank you." I whispered.

-Gideon's Pov-

I walked to the kitchen after me and Robbie returned from the woods and when was right at the kitchen door I heard Pacifica say 'Mabel Pines', I was shocked. 'What does Pacifica have to with her?' I was thinking. I opened the kitchen door and asked:"Pacifica? Can I talk to you for a minute?","Sure." She answered and walked over to me.

I dragged her by the arm to my room. "Hey, what are you doing?" She asked angrily. I answered:"I must show you something." and pulled the book out of my vest. Pacifica asked:"What is this?","I found this book in the woods today. It contains recordings about all sorts of strange anomalies." I answered and flipped through the pages. "And for some reason half of the book is empty as if the person who wrote it disappeared." I said. Pacifica was silent as she looked at a page that was about two mystic amulets. "Are you okay?" I asked, Pacifica looked at me and answered:"I encountered a boy who wore this amulet and his eyes were glowing and I got headache. You were right, these anomalies exist.","You know who the boy was?" I asked. Pacifica answered:"The brother of Mabel Pines.","Did you also met Mabel?" I asked and Pacifica told me the story about how she ran into Mabel and how they drank coffee. I said:"Should better stay away from her.","Well, Mabel is harmless. Sure, her brother is creepy but she is different." Pacifica said. I said:"But...","Don't worry, I promised my parents that I would be careful and I will not break it." She said with a comforting smile. I nodded and said:"Okay, I will trust you on that.","Thank you. Sooo, I noticed you where blushing when talking about this Robbie." Pacifica said with a smug smile. "I-I don't want to t-talk about this." I said embarressed and she laughed.

-Mabel's Pov-

I walked in Dipping Sauce's room. He was meditating, I walked up to him and asked:"What are doing Dipping Sauce?","I told you not to call me that." He said annoyed. He then said:"It's just like HE has foreseen it, Gideon has the third book.","Good." I simply replied and Dipping Sauce asked:"You got this?","Yes." I said. "Don't get attached." Dipper said cold and I responded:"Trust me, I won't."...
