Love or Lie?

The Date

Warning: This chapter will include some violence(like choking)...and drama...and swearing.

-Pacifica's Pov-

"See? They are nice." I said to Gideon while we walked home. Gideon said:"I'm not sure about them.", he looked around and I said:"Well you don't know them really good. You could maybe hang out with Dipper or we could do something together with them." I suggested and Gideon sighed and said:"Well, I guess I could open up a little bit.", I was happy to hear that and we continued our walk back home. By the time we arrived the sun was already down. We went inside, ate and went to bed.

The next few days went by like nothing and the big day was here. I was sitting in my bedroom while my aunt Susan applied make up to my face. I wore the red dress that Mabel bought me, red high heels and earrings. My hair was made ponytail again. "And done." Susan said and handed me a mirror. She asked:"What do you think?","It looks really beautiful, thank you." I answered and hugged aunt Susan. "Now come, so we can pick up your date." Susan said we went to the car. We drove to the mansion, I got out of the car and knocked at the door. Once again Bill opened the door and said:"Ah Mrs. Northwest, I will inform Mrs. Pines that you arrived. Just wait here.","Okay." I responded and wait for a couple of minutes. The door opened once more and there she was...she a white blouse with a black tie, black jeans and boots and a blue leather jacket and for the first time there was no amulet. My eyes widened, my heart was racing and cheeks got warm. "Are you okay?" Mabel asked as I only stood there and stared at her. I managed to pull myself together and answered:"Y-yes, you look pretty.","Thank you, you look also really beautiful." She responded. I said:"Thank you, I think we should go now.","Yes." she agreed and we went to the car.

It took us only a couple of minutes until we arrived. We got out of the car and I said:"Thank you from driving us here.","No problem. Call me when you two need to be picked up.", I nodded and I said goodbye. I turned aroud wanted to walk to Mabel. Aunt Susan said:"And one more thing.", I looked at her and she said:"Get her.", while she pointed at me with finger guns. I chuckled and rolled my eyes, I said:"Yeah, sure.", after that Susan drove away and I joined Mabel. We went inside and there were many teens, a table with non-alcoholic drinks and serveral speakers that played music. I got myself and Mabel some drinks and we talked. "Excuse me if I'm excited, it's just the first in like forever that I dated someone." I said nervously. Mabel said:"It's okay to be nervous.", and put her hand on my cheek, I put my hand over hers and we looked deeply in our eyes.

-Gideon's Pov-

I still didn't trust the Pines twins and I decided to go to the dance to keep an eye on Pacifica. I sneaked out of the house and started to walk to the gym of the school. I looked around, it felt like someone was watching me. I shook my head and thought:'You're getting paranoid Gideon, calm down.', I stopped and breathed to calm myself down. 'You need to be focused if you wanna protect your cousin.' I thought. Once I calmed down I continued to walk until I saw person right in front of me. I stopped and asked:"Wait...you?".

-Pacifica's Pov-

I had the time of my life on the dance, I was so happy that I was able to let someone get close to me and not get hurt for once. "May I have this dance?" Mabel asked and gave me her hand. I took it and said:"Yes.", and we started to dance. The start was good but I quickly began to struggle, I stumbled and almost fell on the floor but Mabel caught me. She asked:"Are you okay?","Uh-huh." came from me, Mabel lifted me up and said:"Perhaps we should try to dance slower.", I nodded and we got closer to each other and started to dance slowly. I had no idea how long we were like that, I lost all sense of time and space. I looked in her eyes again, then at her lips. I leaned forward and kissed her. After the kiss we looked at each other and continued to dance.

After a while decided to go outside, it was cold. Mabel put her jacket over my shoulders, I said:"Thank you.","No problem." she responded. I breathed heavily once and said:"Mabel, I love you.", my heart was racing and my cheeks were burning. Mabel's eyes widened, her cheeks turned red. She said:"Oh Pacifica I-","Ah, there you are." Dipper said as he walked to us with Gideon who Dipper choked with the power of his amulet! "You can finally stop playing around with her." Dipper said. I looked confused at both siblings, Dipper then said:"Oh you didn't know? My dear sister had the idea to pretent to like you so we can get this.", he then pulled out the book Gideon found. I looked shocked at Mabel, tears filling my eyes. I asked shakingly:"All this time you lied to me?", she looked down and didn't respond. Dipper threw Gideon down and said:"Now come sister, we have a lot of work to do.", both left as I broke down and cried. Gideon walked to me, he took Mabel's jacket off and tossed it on the ground. He hugged me, we were sitting there for a while.

Gideon got his phone out of his pocket and called aunt Susan pick us up. Severval minutes later the cat stopped next to us. Gideon helped me up and in the car and during the entire ride home he comforted me. When we arrived and went inside uncle Bud asked what was going on. We told him everythimg, even that I befriended and dated a Pines. "Are you mad at me?" I asked afraid of his reaction. "No, I could never be mad at you. You can befriend or date anyone you want." he answered and hugged me, Gideon and Susan joined and turned it into a group hug. It made me feel a little better, I was so lucky to have such a caring family. Gideon brought me to my room, we sat down at my bed. I pulled out my phone and saw like a 50 missed calls from Mabel. I deleted her contact. I put my phone away and looked at Gideon, I said:"I'm so sorry that I didn't listen to you. You were right all along.", Gideon put his hand on my shoulder and said:"It's okay Pa-","No! Now they have the book and who knows what shit they will do with it." I interrupted him, he looked at me shocked. I was shocked aswell, I never swore in my life before. Gideon said:"Well, what I was trying to say that it's okay. I mean I was letting my guard down to a little bit after we visited them.", I hugged Gideon, I said:"Thank you for everything.", after Gideon went to his bedroom I got changed and washed the make up out of my face. I went to bed and tried to sleep...
