Alexis POV

I picked at the assortment of fruit on my plate, lost in my own thoughts while Dorcas spoke to me about what had happened last night. I hadn't told her of my eventful night. The Fruit tasted sour in my mouth so I pushed the plate further away from me and decided that I would simply eat at Lunch. I only had two classes today anyways so I didn't doubt that I would survive the day.

Pandora had sat down next to Dorcas somewhere between me pushing the plate away and Dorcas saying that Marlene must wear a turtleneck sweater today to cover the evidence from last night. I wouldn't call us friends but Pandora was friendly enough to talk to sometimes. We sat next to each other in Divination last year, I quite enjoyed her insights. Many people called her weird, I did not care, especially since the called me the same. To be fair I was pretty weird.

"Lexi!" Dorcas whisper yelled at me, throwing a grape at me. I whipped around, pushed out of my own thought, to look at Dorcas who had wide eyes. "Why is Regulus Black starring at you?"

Regulus Black was indeed starring at me from the Slytherin Table. His gaze made me more uncomfortable then it should. Something about his grey eyes made goosebumps rise on my skin.

"He's not" I dismissed Dorcas as an attempt to change the topic. Pandora looked up from her book now, interested in the situation.

"He really is" Dorcas said. I looked at Black again and this time when our eyes met he stood up and begun walking "Oh my god he's coming here. Why is Regulus Black coming here?!"

The tall boy sat down beside me, swinging his leg over the bench. One of his curls fell into his eyes and i had to resist the urge to push it back.

"Can I steal your friend for a second?" His lips quirked into a smile as he caught Dorcas starring at him like he was a Ghost. He might as well have been. In my Five years at Hogwarts I had not once spoken to Regulus. Yes, him and I were both Prefects, but that did not mean that he spoke to me.

"Of course" Dorcas smiled kindly. I internally groaned, but stood up and followed Regulus out of the Great Hall anyways. We walked for a while until we reach one of the less visited corridors that students normally went to to hook up. I crossed my arms above my chest.

"Angela- right?"

"My name is Alexis"

"Right, I knew it was something with A" he leaned lazily against one of the pillars. His tie was crooked which irked me more then him not knowing my name. "I assume you know me"

"I know your name if thats what you mean"

"Listen Alexis, I want you to take this" he handed me a pouch filled to the brim with golden coins. His hand was warm against mine "And I want you to remember that you didn't see anything in the Astronomy Tower last night"

My mouth could have fallen open in shock, but I composed myself before that could happen. Realisation dawned on me that Narcissa must have gone to her cousin to tell him about what I had seen and now he had come to make sure I didn't talk. I glanced down at the heavy pouch then at him again.

Regulus scoffed and pulled another pouch out of his robe with the same contents "You ain't getting more then that, but if you keep your mouth shut for the rest of the year I'll double it"

"Wow" I stared at the pouches then I scoffed "You're an even bigger asshole then I would have thought" I slammed the pouches against his chest. Before I could pull my hand a way he grabbed my hand and held it from against the pouches on his chest "

"Were not done here"

"You want to put a new broom and a Telescope on top?" I asked him sarcastically, glaring at him. He didn't faltere one bit and still looked as smug as ever.

"I know you could use the money" he glanced at my worn out satchel that I had fixed multiple times already "Perhaps for a new bag"

"I have as of this moment 4 galleons and 6 knuts in my wallet and thats more then I need" I took the pouches again and looked at them "Do you need change for your next Hogsmead trip?" He didn't answer, just stared at me like I had grown a second head " No? Then put this back into your trust fund and leave me the fuck alone"

"Are you serious?"

I didn't answer him, I just opened one of the pouches and dumped it onto his feat while holding eye contact. The coins clattered to the ground. I took the second pouch and the empty one and pressed them into his hands before turning on my heels and leaving his standing there.
