I stared nervously at my image in the mirror and questioned myself on why I had said yes to coming to the Party in the first place. Perhaps it was the fact that it was a way to challenge Regulus or maybe I just thought It would be fun. Both options seemed crazy to me now.

My mind went crazy, offering me different excuses of why I could not come. I could pretend to have a late assignment, but that wouldn't work since Regulus knew damn well that I never missed a deadline. I could also pretend to be sick but then I'd have to drag myself to the hospital wing. Man I hated the Hospital wing.

I quickly grabbed my purse and wand before I could come up with a different Plan. Regulus already stood before the common room when I exited the portal. It wasn't even 9 yet. He gave me a small smile, I greeted him.

Regulus looked as elegant as ever, even if he was dressed down a bit. He wore black pants and a white button down that had the first few buttons undone. His chest was just visible enough for me to want to stare. The curls of his hair were messy and even more untamed then usually.

The room of Requirement had transformed itself into exactly what I had imagined a Slytherin Party to be like. The bass of the music made the floor vibrate, every where were people dancing, most of them wore green and black. The scent of alcohol, smoke and sweat clung to me as soon as I stepped inside. Those smells were nothing new to me, in fact I welcomed the familiarity of it.

Regulus stood still beside me as I scanned the party. A lot of the faces in the room I knew but there were enough that I didn't know. Suddenly my eyes focused on something at the very back of the party. The room had turned in some kind of conservatory that looked like the night sky and right in the middle stood a huge pool.

Many of the guests had jumped into the pool and swan either in underwear or their entire clothing. My first instinct was to run and leave this part right now but when I caught Regulus eyes the same stubbornness that lead me to say yes in the first place took a hold of me again.

I gave him a fake smile and stepped further into the party, not far enough though to be too close to people. Regulus hand hovered over the small of my back, close enough for me to feel his heat but far away enough for him to not touch me. I moved in sync with him until we reached a corner of couches and pillows on the ground.

"I'm going to get something to drink" Regulus told me as I sat down on one of the sofas "What do you want?"

"I'll take-" I glanced at the pool again. I was far away enough but the unease I felt made the decision easy "a Coke"

"You're not drinking" he stated rather then asking "Do you mind if I drink?"

"Oh" that was sweet "Not at all. Go ahead"

Seconds after he left another presence sat down next to me.

"Alexis Thorne" the disgustingly sweet voice dripped of honey and poison "I would have never though to see you at a party like this"

"It's not as scandalous as it sounds Narcissa" I answered without looking at her.

"Oh but it is. Who knows what you'll do here..." she hummed like she was lost in thoughts "One could get the idea that you are with the wrong crowds. A rumor like that could destroy someone like you" Her threat hung in the air, still she somehow forgot who was holding the Cards in this game.

"Not as scandalous as Fucking a Teacher" I returned her sickly sweet smile. Narcissa had turned as pale as a ghost, she leaned closer to me.

"You promised you wouldn't say anything. You-" she cut herself off and leaned away again like she thought better of it.
