Akira received a notification from her secretary, Heerji Bhai, about a meeting at the ITS office.

Heerji Bhai, a man in his 60s known for his sweetness and ability to be extremely dangerous when necessary, has been a valuable negotiator at SAGC for over three decades.

Despite being married to Vasco, the scion of ITS, for two weeks, Akira had never visited the ITS building until now. Accompanied by Anand, the CEO of SAGC's energy sector, and Heerji, Akira made her way to the meeting.

Vasco, although present, might not join as Akira was representing both families in leading the sector.

Upon arrival, Akira was warmly welcomed as Vasco's wife. The meeting, enriched by thorough project research and execution plans, proved to be fruitful.

As farewells were exchanged, Vasco made a grand entrance, his imposing presence hinting at his protective nature towards Akira.

His silent gesture signaled the end of the meeting, leaving only him and Akira in the room.

After the Meeting

The moment the door closed behind the last of the attendees, Vasco's demeanor changed instantly.

The cold, authoritative exterior melted away as he leaned in, capturing Akira's lips in a fierce, possessive kiss.

She was taken aback but responded, feeling the intensity and desperation behind his actions.

When they finally pulled apart, Vasco's eyes held a mix of emotions—anger, frustration, but also a raw intensity that Akira hadn't seen before.

Vasco: "You did well in there, Akira. But don't think for a moment that I'm letting my guard down.

"Akira, still catching her breath from the sudden kiss, straightened her posture. "I don't expect you to.

But we need to work together, Vasco. We're stronger as a team."He looked at her, his expression hardening once more. "Team or not, remember your place.

You're Mrs. Meherjirana now, and everything you do reflects on me and this family."Akira nodded, understanding the gravity of his words.

"I understand. But you need to trust me to handle things my way sometimes. That's how partnerships work.

"Vasco's jaw tightened, but he didn't argue.

Instead, he took a step back, giving her space. "We'll see how things go. For now, let's get back home. There's more to discuss."
