"you're pretty. a shame you have to die."

"gotta do my hair, gotta put on makeup." jhene aiko, bed peace

they had spent three months with klaus, both of the younger vampires being annoyed out of their minds the whole trip. and the 'married' couple had decided to take it out on each other -- they had been fighting almost non-stop. though, they'd been fighting, but they still understood where the other was coming from. they knew the times were hard.

currently, they sat in klaus' SUV, waiting for their signal to get out of the car to assist him. they were out front of a southern farm house. the people residing in the house apparently knew someone who was a werewolf. where did klaus get this information? neither stefan or daphne knew. klaus didn't tell them anything, except for where they were going and what they were doing there.

as if on cue, the duo heard screaming coming from inside of the farmhouse. they looked at one another, then nodded. daphne hopped out of the car, she stumbled on her heels, but quickly caught her balance. they knew what they were about to do, stefan was dreading it, and daphne was somewhat interested -- what could she say? she was hungry.

daphne leaned against the door frame, watching the front door swing open. a woman with dark skin and curly hair stood on the other side, gasping as she faced the two vampires. klaus chuckled from behind the woman, a blonde in his grasp. "i love it when they run!" he mused.

the woman turned around to face klaus, her chest heaving up and down as she answered the question he asked her prior to stefan and daphne being outside her door. "he's in tulley. it's near the border. a bar called southern comfort. it's off highway forty-one."

"thank you, my love." he said kindly to the woman, then his attention moved back to the blonde girl. his fingers gently caressed her face as she whimpered in his grasp. "now, may my friends come inside your home?"

she nodded whilst a cry left her lips. "yes."

daphne and stefan made their way into the household. daphne walked inside, holding herself confidently. stefan walked in, his shoulders slouched, annoyed. "kill this one quickly." klaus said, shoving the blonde woman into daphne's arms. he then nodded over to the other woman, looking towards stefan after. "make this one suffer. i'll be in the car."

daphne approached the blonde with a sinister smile on her face. she looked at the woman, tilting her head to the side. "you're pretty." she said, pushing her hair from the girl's face, exposing her neck. she took a deep breath -- she could already smell the intoxicating substance. "a shame you have to die." she said, her fangs showing.

she dipped her head into the woman's neck, her razor sharp fangs piercing her neck. the girl screamed, as did the woman stefan was working on. daphne softly moaned as she tasted the girl's blood. it was sweet, with a hint of spice to it. she continued to drink the girl's blood, feeling her go limp in her arms.

she pulled away from the girl, tilting her head to the side as she looked at her. she dipped her finger into her blood, then, she signed her signature mark. a heart in blood. daphne looked over to stefan, and noted that the woman was dead in his arms as he continued to drink her blood. "stef, she's dead." she said softly.

he didn't respond, his face still buried in her neck. daphne stepped forward, lightly touching his arm. but she was too late -- the woman's head fell off as soon as stefan pulled away from her.
