Heaven wasn't what I was expecting it to be. It was even better than expected! It's a great place, and I'd much rather be up here than down there. I could only imagine what it would be like living in Hell. Heaven was beautiful and pure, and plus, all of us Angels were pretty hot, so thats a bonus. Although there were rules to abide and people to listen to, I enjoyed my afterlife. I worked under the Seraphim's, as their assistant. I organise meetings, show up to those meetings, write about those meetings, and report back my information about those meetings. It was all one big loop.

As much as I loved it here, I wished there was more time for me to do the things I loved. I was an inventor, a creator, an artist, in my previous life, and being here provided me with no creative outlet. I would often get one of the Seraphim's asking me to design and create small things. The most notable being clock faces and hands. I didn't know why they needed them, but who was I to deny the second-in-command? But this didn't fulfil my creative aspirations. I wanted to make an impact...

Who knew that a many few years later, I would. But for a completely different reason...

BEEP

BEEP

"7 am they always need me." I groaned to myself, throwing the comfort of my duvet off me and rolling onto my side, sitting up and slipping into some slippers. Turning to face the cause of the beeping, I slammed my hand down on the clock, causing it to fly off onto the floor under my bed somewhere.

I go to stand up and stretch my wings. It had to be the best feeling ever, I bet it would be even better if I were to sleep longer. Opening the curtains, I was met with the blinding light of the sun. Every building in Heaven was white, or different variations of it. And it didn't help in the morning when all the buildings reflected this light. I might as well be blind.

I could hear people outside talking already, and many residents flew past my window on their way to work. I sometimes caught myself wondering what would happen if I disobeyed the rules. But Sera was always quick to remind me about what happened to Lucifer, the only known fallen angel, and King of Hell. For someone who should rarely be spoken about, he was quite the popular demon. I admired him, but I would never admit it. He had the guts to make changes, allow creative freedom to flow. But alas, look where he ended up.

I readied myself for work, dressing myself in the fine fabrics that Sera had provided me with. I brushed out my hair, making a mental note about cutting it a little shorter, since it was beginning to bug me, I washed and cleaned my face - God help if Adam were to point out another imperfection on my face -, and I slotted into my shoes. I swiftly grabbed my bag and I was out the door.
