As I head back, my mind wanders to Tyler. I had only a phone Sarah had lent me, I could have asked Anna, but I didn't have her contact info. And my phone was still in my apartment. Oh, that includes my other stuffs as well.

And before I knew it, I was standing in front of the door that led to my mate's house, more like to my mate. I blush at the thought. Finally, having some time to ourselves.

I walk in, not before punching the password, to find my mate sitting on the couch of the living room a little lost. I make my way towards him as he snaps out of his thoughts and a smile forms on his face. I place myself comfortably beside him. He moves closer, closing the so little distance we had. He places his face in the crook of my neck, taking in all my sent.

"You know, I have always wondered." He whispers huskily as he moves his head a little away as his breathe fans my neck.

I hum in response waiting for him to continue while trying to hide the red tint on my cheeks.

" About the peculiar interest I had for lavenders." He breathes out still in the same position.

And that's it. I feel so giddy, damn these butterflies, they are all going to come rushing out of my mouth. My face must have turned into a red mess right now. Because I knew what he meant. I smelled like lavender, that was my scent. Werewolves had their scents, that individualized the werewolves. The same could have applied to every creature- a flavor, while their individual scent dominated. It depended more on the products we used, of course. And I without a doubt smelled like lavender, almost all my products were lavender. I admired and loved them since I was young.

I am aware, considering the intimacy, it wasn't common among humans to get intimate so early, however it wasn't the same among the werewolves. Compared to the werewolves, we were quite slow, perhaps way too slower. It is a norm that werewolves marked and made love as soon as they find their fated mate. And my mate here was surely giving me some time to adjust, I appreciate it. That's my mate for you.

"Umm..." I start without knowing what to say, when Blade decides to speak.

"Don't fret little one, we will surely make love. If you are so eager we could get started now." He smirks, huskiness never leaving his voice.

My eyes widen at the realization. He is a telepath, damn it. Engrave it into your mind, idiot.

I don't dare look at him right now, I look down at my lap. And that is when I hear chuckles, more like music to my ears. I would pay to listen to them. I blame my lack of concentration, the sudden change of my thoughts that fray at the speed of light, are due to my ability to not concentrate.

I am brought out of my thoughts when those light chuckles turn into a full-blown laughter. Shit, I spaced out again. Curse my lousy self. Ah! I am a lost cause. I feel embarrassed, as my cheeks reach the limits of blushing, if there's any. I still don't look up, when I feel a pair of hands, cup my cheeks gently lifting my face until I come face to face with Blade's.

"No wonder you are my fated mate. God you are beautiful." He confessed in gruff voice. I felt like I was on cloud nine.

His oceanlike eyes becoming darker by each passing minute, the shine only brightens, my eyes scan his face, his perfect eyebrows, his oceanlike eyes rimmed with golden, his sharp, long nose, his tanned handsome rectangular face, the light stubble only made it better. And finally, my eyes land on his very very kissable plump pink lips, neither too thick nor too thin, neither too broad nor too narrow. Just perfect. And before I knew it, I had leaned forward, he too had leaned towards me. Our faces were so close, just a little movement and our lips would be touching. Everything has vanished, it was only us. The urge to kiss him dominated all the sense and reality right now. Just this once let me taste those lips.

A very familiar cough breaks whatever we had going on. I abruptly move away from my mate to give Sarah a guilty smile. To my surprise a cheerful Amelia and grinning Alex are stood on her left and right. And now I feel like a deer caught in headlights.

"Get yourselves a room, I guess." Alex grins like an idiot.

"You are the once who should mind your manners. Walking into my home like some public park? Thank your Lord, you hadn't walked in witnessing some really indecent activities." My mate declares folding his hands and sexily crosses his right leg over his left, with raised eyebrows, of course.

But my mind had wandered somewhere else already, you know at the speed of lightning. I had already pictured our disheveled selves placed on the couch indulged in some really 'indecent activities' my mate had mentioned. Oh, and my detailed imagination even had some of our clothes sprawled over the floor. And my wolf wasn't helping one bit.

Crap! Calm down! Stupid Rieka. Bad Esmeray! You shouldn't imagine such things. I remind myself.

"What's wrong with you B? Why are you looking like that?" Amelia's question brings my attention to my mate. I know right. He must have read my mind. I turn to look at Blade, expecting him to be making hilarious face in order to stifle his laughter and half expecting him to tease me as a blush creeps up its way.

Perhaps I was wrong, I was completely caught off guard as he stands up suddenly, before getting a look of his face.

"Oh, I remember I had something important to do." Saying that he walks out the living room, without looking at us.

Before he left, I was sure I caught a glimpse of his ears that had completely turned red.

"What was that?" Amelia announces my thoughts out loud.

What was that even. He left just like that.
