I am surrounded by the woods; I am running deeper into the woods; I can feel the paws of my majestic white wolf hit the mud ridden ground until I reach the opening in the woods that marked the border of the pack's forbidden area. The clearing had nothing special to make it forbidden. It was simply an area in the middle of the woods with no plant or trees. It always piqued my interest as the forbidden ground for it was nothing but a plain ground, neither too large nor too small, it could cover 10-12 trees at most. What made this area worth prohibition that no wolf was allowed to enter the area without the direct command of the Alpha. My thoughts are brought to halt when I hear twigs breaking in a distance, indicating the approach of a person.

I quickly transform back into my human form with my clothes on. Yep, we had our clothes on as we were enchanted, it was just like human evolution. The werewolves in the beginning had problems with the destroying of clothes at every transformation, however as the world evolved supernatural beings found a method in order to keep the clothes from being destroyed every now and then.

I perfectly hide myself behind a bush that seems to be in a perfect spot to avoid being caught and spy on them as well. Come on what would a wolf be doing in the middle of the night?
Me on the other hand couldn't afford to transform in the broad daylight and of course my wolf deserved some needed training, running and hunting for its physical and mental growth. And this is the first time in my three years of experience that I encountered a wolf in the middle of the night.

As the sound of footsteps draw near, I try my best to hide my presence by blending into the nature. I peep through the gap in the bush to get a good look at the being that decided to intrude my favorite time of the night.

It was none other than Alpha Raphael Huntsman. The Alpha of the Blue Moon Pack. Unfortunately, I was member of his pack.

I eye him suspiciously treading towards the clearing. he walks a little distance once he crosses the line and as he reaches the middle he vanishes into thin air. An involuntary gasp leaves my mouth before I palm my mouth. The shitty curiosity kicks in within me and that is when I decide to get up and dusting my butt, I cross the line that was never meant to be.

And that day, two years ago, I realized some things are better off  not known and curiosity doesn't just kill a cat but can also turn its worst nightmare into reality.

"I am going to die, if I walk anymore." I hear Sarah cry desperately behind us.

"Walk faster Sar, we cannot have you fall behind on your steps. We need to buy a ton of dresses." Amelia says as she checks out a bright pink dress on the mannequin doll displayed in front of a store.

"Yeah, and have you decided what are you going to dress up as for the party?" I question her in a strict tone.

Amelia's birthday was around the corner, and we were here in the mall shopping for clothes for her birthday party. Amelia being herself threw a tantrum for a costume party, more like a 'Disney stuffs'. Alex and I did not object at the beginning itself since the idea thrilled me while Sarah and Leah never approved before she threw herself on the floor and started wailing like a kid. Yeah, she is the youngest in our group and they usually pamper her, that includes me now.

"Duh, I will dress up as Pascal. I can hold a pan for effects." Sarah comments in bored tone.

"No Sarah will be Ariel, because she has the unruliest hair." Amelia declares as she enters another store.

"Ariel?  She isn't my favorite! I decided on dressing up as Aurora and setting up a bed in the center of the Rogue Castle and get some beauty sleep for more effects. Then I can have a guy kiss me to wake me." Sarah exclaims delighted at her own idea. No, she was delighted at the idea of sleeping.

"And all to no avail, he would never be able to wake the Sleeping Beauty." Alex's loud laugh booms.

"Maybe, Maleficent could kiss her, and maybe, just maybe she would wake up." I laugh.

"EWWW, I would rather die than have a girl kiss me on my lips." Sarah gags. She hated the idea of non-straight relationships with passion.

"No way you are going to do that." Amelia objects as she shuffles through some more shiny blue dresses.

"See, everyone said yes for the characters I chose for them. Alex became the prince charming for my Cinderella, Leah decided for Maleficent look, and I couldn't agree more. Emmy and Big B are going to be Rapunzel and Eugene." She pouts making her puppy dog eyes.

"Okay last chance, give something I wouldn't really complain about." Sarah sighs.

"OKAY! You can beeeee...... um...... I KNOW ALICE!" Amelia screams elated with her index finger sticking out earning some stares from around the store.

"Um... that doesn't sound bad." Sarah gives in defeat.

The plan was to just wear clothes indicating the characters and not dressing exactly like them, so Balde seemed fine since he wouldn't have to dress up like some cliche prince charming. He had sighed with relief at her choice of characters. When I say everyone dotes on her I really mean it.

The last time I remember, two weeks after I joined the school, Lia practically climbed on one of tallest chefs in the cafeteria throwing a tantrum saying she wouldn't climb down until he gave her a bottle of water from Alps. I mean the Alps. Alex had phoned his Alpha to make arrangements to send him to Alps. It was funny how he was the guy who bickered with her every time and the one who dotted on her the most. Then, Sarah was nowhere to be seen. Knowing so little about her back then I thought she didn't want to involve herself in this mess but instead she barged in with a bottle of mineral water panting like a mad dog, and it had a label around it saying, 'Water from Alps'. She had it printed in a matter of minutes from God knows where and how, and only then did Amelia climb down. Amelia was like a stubborn and cute kid among the adults.

It always felt like I was surrounded by a bunch of idiots who treated each other as a big family living their lives like there was no tomorrow. It felt so good to be treated as a part of a family where they savored the flavors of joy even in the minutest things while there was an inevitable nightmarish peril looming on our heads.
