3th person's POV:
Lucy followed Anderson to her office and before she brought up the subject they talked a bit. "So how are you doing" Anderson asked. She knew what she meant by that question and the real answer would have been that she was not doing well at all. She had panic attacks more often and she had been hurting herself ever sinds the abuse started. She had been losing a lot of weight, sinds she started taking an unhealthy amount of weightloss pills every day.
But all she could manage to say was "I'm fine, it's still a bit hard sometimes." She said and faked a smile. "Good, If you ever need someone to talk to, I'm always here" Anderson said, giving Lucy a comforting look before responding,"Thank you, i appreciate it, If you don't mind could we keep the reason why I transferred between us?" she asked with a worried look on her face, "Ofcourse, no problem" Anderson replied.
Anderson looked at her watch "You should get changed, roll call will start in a few minutes."
As Lucy went downstairs, she noticed the guy she was talking to outside staring as she passed...Lucy's POV:
As I passed him, I went into the changing room to put on my uniform. I was debating if I should wear short sleeves, but I don't want everyone to stare at me on my first day, just because of my old scars.
As far as I know police officers don't wear short, so I should be fine.
Even though it is 25 degrees outside, I walked out wearing long sleeves. I arrived right on time, roll call was about to start.I was about to sit on the second row, when someone said "Rookies sit in the front row", I turned around and saw that it was the guy she was talking to earlier. Tim Bradford says his name tag. I decided it would be best to just ignore him as I moved to the first row. I started to investigate the new rookies on the other side of the room, they looked nervous. Then the Watch Commander walks in and roll call began.
3th person's POV:
The Watch Commander Wade Grey walks in. "Alright alright, settle down, we have some new blood today" he waits until everyone is sitting.
"Let's play the TO match game. Our candidates are the legacy who broke all his dads records in the academi, Jackson West and the 40 year old rookie, John Nolan. And our winners are: Lopez you get our legacy and Harper, grandpa is all yours."Everybody chuckles at Grey's comment, including me
"Sir, I think you're forgetting someone" says a voice in the crowd. Lucy did not need to think twice about who could have said that.
"No Bradford I did not, the rookies aren't the only ones who are new today. May I introduce the legendary detective Chen." Grey responds
While the room fills with confused faces, Grey continues...
"For those who haven't heard of her, she was a detective in a different state before coming to LA. Not only did she become a detective at the age of 22 years old but she has also done multiple and only successful UC missions. Welcome to Mid- Wilsher detective Chen."
Lucy smiles and say "Thank you sir, it's a pleasure to be here"
Everyone started clapping.
When everyone has calmed down he continues,
"It seems like there is only one TO left, officer Bradford you will be riding with detective Chen today. Allright that's it, stay safe out there!"Tim's POV:
I can not believe that my favorite day of the year is ruined. I was looking forward to getting assigned to a new rookie this year and it turns out I don't even get one.As Angela makes comments on how funny she thinks this is, Detective Chen passes and introduces herself again to Harper and Lopez, and they do the same.
Without even looking at me for the whole conversation, she finally does and says "Let's hit the road, Boot", while smiling to both Harper and Lopez.
All I could say was: "Yes ma'am"
I can not believe to nerve of that woman.
This day can't get worse, first I didn't get a rookie and now, technically I am one.
