Chp.13⟩ Working on a Cure

The Book of the Cure.

Hey Diary!
I'm Lucifer and I'm the king of Hell. Last night I saw my daughter Charlie writing in a book. I asked her what she was doing and she said she was writing in a diary. Almost everyone here has a diary, so I thought I should start writing one. Plus, I need a place to write down my research.

Me, Vaggie and Charlie have been working on a cure for this infection. How come we've lost some of the most powerful overlords in hell, yet Alastor's still here? Anyways, the cannibals are showing the first symptoms for the infection. We've quarantined them, and I don't know if that's the best thing to do. This place is slowly falling apart, and our magic can only do so much.

The street demons look okay for now. The spider demon–Angel Dust, he's completely infected now. I wake up at night sometimes to him banging on the door begging us to come with him and to let him go. It's disturbing to say the least. That and working on this cure has kept me up at night for 2 weeks now.

After putting angelic blood in samples of me, Charlie and Vaggie, and leaving it out for a week, no changes have been observed. I can somewhat conclude that we are immune. But, that's not it..what the infection does is affect the mind of a demon. It makes them believe doing good things gets you to heaven.[that's not how it works people]

Anyways, here are some of the references I've been following in the research process so far:

•Thr Angels: Anatomy and Physiology
The book is detailed with the anatomy and physiology of different kinds of angels, wether it's Seraphim or Winner or Cherub. Using this we were able to figure out what exactly the blood is composed of. It also told us about the other very unnatural, horrifying and useful properties of angelic blood. Did you know this thing can melt through concrete? This is more of an encyclopaedia than anything.

The Magic of Plants!
I don't remember getting this one, but I'm glad to have it now. This one details the uses of different plants that grow around in hell. [Yes, hell has plants] The Swenberrie's juice is used to keep colds and coughs away form a while. It's very helpful, considering the first stages are a deadly fever. There's some of that growing around in the royal palace.

Speaking of the royal palace, I've been thinking about moving back there. The hotel doesn't have many supplies or equipment. There are more sources of information in the library there. I'll pack my stuff and go there in 2 days.
