Avi couldn't shake the image of Ira from his mind as he lay in bed that night. Her radiant smile, her captivating eyes, the way she commanded the attention of everyone around her - it all consumed his thoughts.
He knew he shouldn't be feeling this way. Ira was his best friend's cousin, and getting involved with her would only lead to trouble. But the more he tried to push those feelings aside, the stronger they seemed to become.
The next day, Avi found himself walking across campus, his eyes scanning the crowd for any sign of Ira. He told himself it was just a coincidence, that he wasn't actively seeking her out. But deep down, he knew that wasn't true.
As he rounded the corner, he caught a glimpse of her, her raven hair cascading down her back as she laughed with a group of friends. Avi felt his heart skip a beat, and before he could stop himself, he was making his way towards her.
"Ira!" he called out, his voice betraying the nervousness he felt.
Ira turned, her eyes widening in surprise as she recognized him. "Avi? Hey, what's up?"
Avi felt his palms grow sweaty as he approached her. "I, uh, I was just wondering if you wanted to grab a coffee or something. You know, catch up."
Ira's brow furrowed for a moment, and Avi felt his heart sink. Had he made a mistake? But then, a smile spread across her face.
"Sure, that sounds great," she said, her voice soft and inviting.
Avi couldn't believe his luck. As they made their way to the campus coffee shop, he felt a sense of excitement and trepidation wash over him. He knew he was treading on dangerous ground, but he couldn't resist the pull of Ira's captivating presence.
Over coffee, they talked and laughed, the conversation flowing effortlessly between them. Avi found himself drawn in by Ira's wit and intelligence, and he couldn't help but notice the way her eyes sparkled when she smiled.
But just as they were about to leave, a familiar figure appeared in the doorway. Sid, Ira's childhood best friend, strode in, his eyes immediately locking onto Avi and Ira.
"Ira, there you are," he said, his voice dripping with a possessive edge. "I've been looking all over for you."
Ira's smile faltered, and Avi felt a pang of unease. He could sense the tension between the two, and he knew that Sid's arrival could only mean trouble.
As Sid approached, Avi couldn't help but feel a surge of jealousy. Sid was clearly interested in Ira, and Avi couldn't help but wonder if his feelings were reciprocated.
The three of them stood there, the air thick with unspoken emotions. Avi knew that he was treading on dangerous ground, but he couldn't bring himself to walk away. He was drawn to Ira in a way he couldn't explain, and he was willing to risk it all to explore this forbidden attraction.
