Sid laughed, his eyes glinting with amusement. "Oh, really? Then why are you always around her? Why are you always trying to get her attention?"
Avi's face twisted with rage. "You're just jealous because you can't have her," he spat, his words dripping with venom.
Sid's eyes flashed with anger, and before Avi knew what was happening, the two of them were in a full-blown fight. Punches were thrown, and the two of them crashed to the ground, their bodies tangled together.
In the end, Avi emerged victorious, but at a great cost. He had lost his temper, and now he was paying the price. His face was bruised and battered, and his pride was wounded.
As he stood up, his eyes locked onto Ira, who was watching the scene unfold with a mixture of horror and fascination. Avi knew that he had made a mistake, and he knew that he had to make it right.
But before he could, Sid stepped forward, his eyes blazing with anger. "You're going to regret this, Avi," he snarled, his voice dripping with menace.
Avi knew that he was in trouble, and he knew that he had to get out of there before things escalated further. He turned and ran, leaving Sid and Ira behind.
As he disappeared into the night, Avi couldn't help but feel a sense of regret. He had let his emotions get the better of him, and now he was paying the price.
But as he looked back, he saw Ira standing there, her eyes locked onto his. And for a moment, he saw something there that gave him hope. Maybe, just maybe, there was still a chance for him and Ira to be together.
