3: Theory

In Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii was the MCBH (Marine Corps Base Hawaii). What was initially believed to be a normal day soon changed as their radars and scanners began to pick up something abnormal.

"Sir, an unknown signal has been detected several clicks to the north." One man said, "What is it? A plane?"

"Negative sir. The scanners show it's too big to be a plane. Moving rather fast as well." Suddenly, the radars showed the large object taking a sharp right turn, heading towards the US. With this information, three jets were quickly scrambled to intercept the unknown object.

<This is how we started to get a little more intelligent. More than we already were. We then ceased to understand many things, human things even. Though it's likely something we've already said. However, looking back at it now, did it feel like the world changed? Maybe even came to a sudden stop? No, it was the same as always.>

<Wake up in the morning. Go to sleep at night.>

<We work, we go school. We're born then die.> 

<Play.>

<Think.>

<Laugh.>

<Laugh?>

<That's what I said, laugh.>

<Give yourself up and it'll all just take you away. Before you even realize what's happened, you'll be in another place, arriving to someplace unknown.>

<But then again, I did see something strange.>

<What was it? Was it me? Was it you?>

<It was something you've never seen before.>

The three jets soon intercepted the target. Much to their own shock, they saw a large Kaiju flying ahead of them. Five times the size of the fighter jets and covered in black and red scales, rows of spikes moving from the top of its head all the way along the back before ending in a spiked tail.

Soon, the three pilots looked around the cockpit as they could hear a woman's singing voice. The source however, was unknown as it echoed all around them. Their trance was only interrupted when a flock of smaller Kaiju flew by, following the larger Kaiju. Each was twice the size of the jets, but this didn't stop the pilots as they prepared to fire on all the Kaiju, first taking aim at the largest Kaiju.

Meanwhile, on Manhattan Beach in Los Angeles, several people's carefree and joyful day was put on halt when the sound of explosions and roars could be heard in the distance. Police cars arrived moments after and the police quickly ran to alert everyone to take cover.

This however, seemed to be pointless as a fighter jet could be seen falling from the skies, exploding once making impact with the ocean. People looked in disbelief at what was happening, then one of the Kaiju appeared, flying down with its legs reaching out to the first person it could grab.

It wasn't only in Japan and Hawaii now, Kaiju were slowly starting to appear little by little across the world.
