From her apartment building, Tori could see nothing but the blood red clouds over Manhattan. Red rain falling harder than ever. She could see three military jets fly over the east and towards the west, "It's like the whole world is on fire." She thought.
Meanwhile in Japan, the day ended and brought a new day, the second day of August. The clouds had grown more than ever before, with even more red clouds forming all around the largest. At its center was the Kaiju that continued growing.
Without the knowledge given to Mei or Yuya, Wren and Shun requested that Akane take them and a small team to Tokyo Tower.
"This theory you and Wren came up with, it sounds like you're waiting on the future to provide help." Veronica started, "That's right. Like Hiiragi who was able to reach the future from his other self in both timelines to see what would happen and prepare for it."
"But what if I told you he actually did more than reach the future and even reached into the very moment the Devouring Calamity started?"
"Wait, for real? He saw that too?" Mei asked.
"That means in order to go around that, we'd have to reach a point before Hiiragi ever did. That would mean Wren and Shun will probably create a new timeline where the Devouring Calamity is able to be prevented."
"What're you talking about? And, where are those two anyway?"
Veronica tilted her head a bit in confusion at Mei's question, "You didn't know? Wren and Shun left about an hour ago with Akane and a small team. They said you and Yuya were aware of this." Throwing on her gas mask, Mei ran outside but was stopped by a few soldiers, "Mei, don't try and go, you won't make it on foot." Yuya said.
"No, we have to go, Yuya. Otherwise-"
"It's better this way. Even if we were to follow after them, we wouldn't make it." Mei struggled for a bit more, but then stopped and looked towards the direction of the Tokyo Tower, "Yeah, but..."
In the helicopter taken, it was Wren, Shun, Akane, and four other soldiers. Following close behind was another helicopter with seven other soldiers, total to twelve soldiers joining Wren and Shun, the former carrying the case filled with the three Oracle-1 canisters. Wren kept his hands tightly wrapped on the suitcase, thinking over what the passwords were, "4:35." Wren thought.
"Tokyo Tower at 4:35."
"Ma'am, our last recon team have taken notice of what looks to be new plant life appearing throughout the areas where the Red water is prominent." A soldier said, "From what we've been told, the plants seem to have the same material and properties as the Red Miasma."
"It's caused by the Kaiju." Shun said, "From what we've gathered and seen, the Kaiju need the Red Miasma to help speed up their evolution to adapt to our world. The larger Kaiju and the Singularity are using it to terraform the world, at least that's as far as we believe."
"It's doing this to make our world similar to its own. Making the world into a place it knows, a place familiar." Wren explained, "It may sound odd, but the Kaiju and the Red Miasma are causing distortions in both space and time. As well as the future and past, alternate dimensions even."
"So it's all converging because of the Kaiju?" Akane asked, "Basically yes. Attempts at stopping this came from the future and from another dimension in time that's also happening right now."
As Shun explained the theory they all had, Wren looked down to the case, "So this Oracle-1 one, you can guarantee it'll permanently negate the effects of the Miasma?"
"Semi-permanently." Akane corrected, "I say that, because the one I saw worked for a while, Baylor claims this one will work, but I've never seen this one in action."
