As night fell I still found myself in the company of Scott, except this time we went back to his house where Aristos, his cousin, seemed completely dumbfounded by my presence. "Thought you were taking Sunny home hours ago?" He asked with a slight brow raised. Scott just shrugged before taking the spot beside him, motioning for me to sit on the other side of him. "I was, but we got caught up talking and shit. Figured you prolly was hungry too so I ordered some pizza. What the fuck are you even watching bro?" I glanced briefly at the screen, it was some type of fucked up anime movie where the current scene was a girl getting mauled and assaulted by a fucking tentacle monster. "Goddamn you have some problems dude, seriously. Change this shit she ain't tryna watch this." With a scoff and a sideways glare he unwillingly shuts off the movie, putting on 'Dawn of The Dead' instead.

It wasn't like I had anything to do at home, no one to answer to or question about where I had been, so I figured I'd stay as long as Scott wanted me. Secretly I was hoping they would want to smoke something soon too, because I was starting to get a little on edge. "Yo newbie, wanna smoke a blunt?" Thank God. I nodded nonchalantly but deep inside I was giddy as a mother fucker. It doesn't take long for Ruby to roll one and in a matter of minutes was I filling my lungs up with the sweetest of smoke. "So what's the plan for the rest of the night? Ya know I got ahold of some percs.." Scott shoots him the meanest glare as those words leave his mouth, making Ari shut right up. Clearly he didn't want me to know about their type of fun. Not that it mattered to me, I wasn't the type of person who gave in easy anyways. If I wanted to do it, I would. If I didn't? I wouldn't.

"Scott it's alright, I don't care. It ain't going to bug me if y'all do any, it's your house for fucks sake. You ain't gonna hurt my feelings if you don't offer me any." He gives me a certain look that almost makes me feel like I should have just kept my fucking mouth shut. Thankfully though before anyone else could get a word out a knock at the door interrupted the moment. It was the pizza guy, a superhero in disguise. Scott slips him a twenty before almost slamming the door in his face. He sets the box up on the cluttered kitchen table, making a notion for me to come. He then hands me over a plate with two nice sized pieces which I thank him for immediately. It had been a few days since I had eaten anything besides the SnoBall earlier, truth be told.

We eat our food in silence as the movie plays on, the only time any of us says anything is when the zombies start eating one of the mall security guards. "For real though if you ever turn into one of those things I'm capping you, no bullshit Ari." I laugh lightly at the expression on his face, he was absolutely serious. "Shit I'm too smart to get taken out by those bitches. I played enough Call of Duty to know the ropes." Just as Scott was about to retort, his phone starts to ring loudly. And from the looks of his face as he reads the caller ID, obviously he wasn't in the mood to answer it. He abruptly shuts it off before violently shoving it back deep into his pocket. I couldn't lie, I felt rather awkward being in the current situation that I was, but thankfully the weed helped keep me level headed. It was hard to believe only hours ago was I planning my demise and yet here I was now, sitting in between two local celebrities, eating pizza and watching horror movies like it was no big deal.

"I'm goin outside for a smoke. Wanna come with Sunny?" I peer up at Scott who was now making a beeline for the backdoor. I excuse myself which Ruby waves off, keeping his attention focused on the TV screen. The air outside is sticky and humid, moisture could be felt almost on everything. I hesitantly sit beside him on the porch steps, the lonely glow of his cigarette being the only illuminating light source. He exhales a large cloud of smoke before clearing his throat. "This shit is certainly out of my character bro, for real. I don't usually go around saving the day but you know what Sunny? I was actually on that bridge to kill myself. You just happened to be there and completely fucked up my plans. Kinda glad you did though, cause I know I ruined yours too." I don't respond, because to be honest I didn't even know what the fuck to even say.

"I don't got any plans on stopping and getting clean, but I know you said you were, which is why I don't want you seeing that shit. I ain't no good, I'm a lost cause, something you certainly don't wanna waste your time on. But look if you wanna really see the real me, wanna become friends or some shit, you can stay and find out." I take in a deep breath before thinking about a way to respond to what the fuck he was even saying. Once again it sounded like he was getting caught up in his feelings while I for one didn't want to feel like anything. I put my hand to his shoulder, giving it a slight squeeze. "I'm not scared to find out who the real you is, Scrim. And I can get clean anytime that I want to, I can be around addicts with no problem. How about we take your cousin up on his offer? Then you can see the real me too, if you're up for it."

His lips are curved into a devious smirk as he finishes off the cigarette, stomping it into the gravel beneath our feet. "I can tell you ain't gonna be like the other girls I've had in my life, that's for goddamn sure. Come on then girl, if you wanna step into the world then let's go down the rabbit hole. Also, call me Scott. Scrim is only for the bitches, which you certainly are not."
